Ayushmann Khurrana Releases The First Look Poster of 'An Action Hero' With Release Date Announcement

Mumbai, November 9 - Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana hasn't had great success post the covid-19 pandemic at the box office but now, he is looking to turn the tide with exciting films. The actor will next be seen in An Action Hero, which is the first of its kind film for him. ## Directed by Anirudh Iyer, "An Action Hero", as the title suggests, is an action comedy film that is completely new for Ayushmann. It is based on an actor's journey in front and behind the lens who promises action and an offbeat sense of humor.## Produced by Aanand L Rai, and Bhushan Kumar, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat in a prominent role. However, there hasn't been any development since then and now, as per the latest reports, that film is not happening anymore, instead, the duo will be collaborating on something very big. ## According to Pinkvilla, the super-talented duo will be collaborating on the cinematic adaptation of the iconic Tamil epic Novel, Velpari, which is touted to be the biggest pan-India cinematic event after SS Rajamouli's "Bahubali". ## It is said that Shankar wants to create something very big with the Velpari novel and teamed up with Ranveer Singh for its cinematic adaptation. Prabhas' 'Adipurush' Postponed To June 2023

Mumbai, November 7 - Director Om Raut's magnum opus Adipurush has officially been postponed to June 16, 2023. The Prabhas-fronted epic was supposed to release on January 12, 2023, but after the mixed reception to the teaser, the makers have decided to re-do the VFX in order to give a complete theatrical experience. ## It is said that that re-do of VFX shots will cost approx. 100 crores more and this will take some more time. Ram Setu First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 31 - Ram Setu had an average first extended weekend at the box office with around 56cr net box office collections. There was a chance of hitting the 60cr mark but the film remained flat on Sunday due to a cricket match between India and South Africa in peak collections time.## That was one reason but the biggest reason for a limited Saturday growth and flat Sunday was due to average to poor feedback from the audiences as they did not like the film. The extended weekend collections of 56cr came due to the Diwali holidays and the star power of Akshay Kumar and not due to the film.## The first Monday's early estimates suggest 2.70 crores net which is a poor number once again and the film will continue to fall from here on. The first Monday collections will take the entire box office collections of Ram Setu to around the 58.70cr net box office mark. The lifetime business of the film is set to be around 80-85cr net unless the film drops heavily. Prabhas' 'Adipurush' To Be Postponed To Summer 2023?

Mumbai, October 30 - Prabhas fronted magnum opus Adipurush has reportedly been postponed to the summer of 2023. The makers are expected to make the official announcement of the postponement of this Om Raut's directorial in the coming days. ## "Adipurush" is currently slated for January 12, 2023, release on the occasion of Sankranthi. Sankranthi 2023 festival is jam-packed with big-budget South Indian films including Chiranjeevi's "Waltair Veerayya", and Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Veera Simha Reddy". ## It is said that the makers of "Adipurush" have been finding it difficult to get theaters in Telugu states due to multiple other releases and they have reportedly informed Telugu distributors about opting out from the Sankranthi race. ## Though the makers are yet to make the official announcement, reports say the movie will now release in the early summer of 2023. Ram Setu First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 30 - Ram Setu which underperformed on the first weekend had shown its first growth yesterday when it grew around 20% and it was expected that the film will show further growth today but that did not happen. Of course, the collections are better than yesterday but the trajectory of the film is not as good as it should have been. ## The film scored an estimated 7.75 crores net on its first Sunday, jumping approx. 5%. The main reasons for limited growth are a cricket world cup match of India and that too in peak collection time. The other reason for limited growth is less appreciation of the film barring a few circuits where it had done decent business.## The first Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections of Ram Setu to around the 56.50cr mark. There is a shortfall of 4cr which would have made the extended weekend of Ram Setu on a decent note. The Monday hold will give the idea of the lifetime business of the film and whether it will be able to cross 100cr net collections or not.
