'Pushpa - The Rise' Overtakes 'Vakeel Saab' To Become Top-Grossing Telugu Movie Of 2021 In Advance Sales In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, December 16 - Icon Star Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" nicely poised to take one of the biggest openings at the India box office. The advance booking for this action thriller, which is slated for December 17 release, is going at a brisk pace and has already crossed Rs. 14 crores for the first day. ## Directed by Sukumar, "Pushpa - The Rise" has become the top-grossing Telugu movie in advance sales of 2021min Telugu's biggest market, Hyderabad. It has so far grossed Rs. 5.34 crores in advance sales and overtakes Pawan Kalyan's "Vakeel Saab", which had generated Rs. 5.08 crores in Hyderabad. The Allu Arjun-fronted could easily cross Rs. 7 crores in advance booking as there are still some hours left before the movie officially arrives in theaters. ## It will be released in five languages, including Hindi. Allu Arjun recently revealed that "Pushpa" was the most challenging film for him to shoot and he has put in a lot of hard work. Allu Arjun To Hold A Hindi Press Meet In Mumbai On December 16 To Promote 'Pushpa - The Rise'

Mumbai, December 15 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun is busy giving interviews and in promotional activities for his upcoming action thriller film, "Pushpa - The Rise". The makers had held a grand pre-release event of the film on December 12 in Hyderabad, in which noted Telugu filmmakers and actors had participated. ## Directed by Sukumar, "Pushpa" is one of the most anticipated films and it will be Allu Arjun's first film to release in multiple languages. Box Office: NBK's 'Akhanda' Roared Past Rs. 100 Crores Worldwide Gross

Hyderabad, December 13 - Telugu movie "Akhanda" has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. After putting on a thundering show at the box office, the action thriller has crossed Rs. 100 crores worldwide gross and has become NBK's first film to achieve the feet. ## Directed by Boyapati Srinu, "Akhanda" already became the highest opening week grosser for NBK, earning Rs. 67.55 crores net in the extended 8-day week. The strong word of mouth helped it to maintain the pace throughout the second weekend for Rs. 9.15 crores. With total worldwide gross collection stands at Rs. 101.50 crores, including the staggering India gross of 89 crores, the movie has turned out to be a hugely profitable venture for the distributors, with an AP/TG share of 52.07 crores. ## The film is a huge blockbuster for its investors in Nizam and other areas. In Nizam alone, it fetched Rs. 17.42 crores gross over 11 days, followed by Ceded with Rs. 13.27 crores. I will not fear or step back even if the government stops screening my films. If the situation escalates to that stage, I will not hesitate to show films to the public for free", he said.## "The government argues that there is no transparency in ticket rates and collections. I am asking the government have you maintained any rationale or transparency in fixing liquor rates?" the Vakeel Saab actor added.## Pawan Kalyan's "Vakeel Saab" had earned over Rs. 137 crores worldwide. After two back-to-back digital releases in form of "V" and "Tuck Jagadish", Nani's "Shyam Singha Roy" is scheduled to release on December 24 in theaters in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## "Shyam Singha Roy" is one of the most anticipated Telugu films and is getting the right amount of buzz. Hyderabad, December 10 - SS Rajamouli once again proved he is the master of storytelling through cinema.
