Director Ali Abbas Zafar Provides Update On Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff's 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'

Mumbai, June 15 - The last few weeks have been flooded with rumors around Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" with director Ali Abbas Zafar. It has been reported that the shoot of the film is pushed to next year due to budget issues while there are rumors stating that the film has been shelved. ## Director Ali Abbas Zafar has finally provided clearance on the ongoing chatter about the movie and confirmed that BMCM is well and truly on. He also quashed reports of the postponement of the shoot and said that it will go on the floor by the end of this year as it requires a lot of pre-production work. ## "This is absolutely baseless. We are very much on track and there's no truth to the shelving rumours", Zafar told Hindustan Times.## "We are currently working on the pre-production. I don't know where these rumours are coming from. For a film of this large scale, months of pre-production is needed. The movie was announced in June 2021, and the makers have now locked Akshay for the role. ## It is reported that Akshay was always the first choice of Dharma Productions to play the role of C Sankaran. While the official announcement of Akshay's inclusion is yet to be made, it is said that the paperwork has finally been done and he is officially on board to star in the movie. ## C Sankaran Nair was the former President of the Indian National Congress and a member of the Viceroy's Executive Council who fought the legal battle against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Samrat Prithviraj just collected 55.05 crores net box office collections in the first week. The film was released on around 4000 screens in India and the budget of the film is said to be over 200cr making it one of the biggest budgeted flicks in Bollywood.
