Zack Snyder Reveals The Title Of His In-Development Army of the Dead 2

Los Angeles, October 28 - Zack Snyder's Zombie film, "Army of the Dead" was a hit on Netflix, which led streaming giant to sign a first-look deal with the filmmaker of the two years. As per the deal, Snyder will make and create content for Netflix including the sequel to Army Of The Dead. ## While the sequel to "Army Of The Dead" is still in the pre-production stage, Snyder has revealed that the sequel is titled "Planet of the Dead" and also teases one character's return for the sequel. Speaking to Inverse about the sequel, the filmmaker teases the potential return of Army of Thieves lead Dieter.## "But the real adventure would be to see what happened to him when that safe door closed. Did he get killed by Zeus or not? What happened? We don't see him die on camera, and there's still some time left. I won't tell you what happens in Army of the Dead 2 — aka Planet of the Dead — but let's just say that there’s a chance Dieter survives. And there's a chance that brush with death would have caused him to want to find a jailed Gwendoline", Snyder said.## Meanwhile, Army of the Dead prequel, Army of Thieves is releasing this Friday (October 29) on Netflix. It is directed by Matthias Schweighöfer from a screenplay by Shay Hatten, based on a story he wrote with Zack Snyder. Schweighöfer also stars in the lead as Ludwig Dieter. ## Army of Thieves is set six years before the events of the Army of the Dead, during the beginning stages of the zombie outbreak, Ludwig Dieter is in his early days of safecracking. It focuses on a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by war from the armies of a tyrannical regent named Belisarius, and the only hope for the colonies is a young woman with a mysterious past who is sent out to recruit warriors from neighboring planets to defend the colony. Snyder has co-written the script alongside Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) and Kurt Johnstad (300).## Stay tuned...

Marvel Studios 'Eternals' Is The Lowest-Rated Marvel Film Ever On Rotten Tomatoes

Los Angeles, October 28 - Marvel Studios' next superhero offering, "Eternals" has its world premiere last week at the iconic El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday (October 18). The early reactions to the film indicate it is the most un-like Marvel picture ever. ## The critics reviewed the film with most agreeing that this is a massive swing for the Marvel Cinematic Universe while some think it should have been a two-part offering as they feel it might lose the audience in the process of trying to explain a ton of what's really up with the backstory of these films. ## The different opinions on Academy Award-winning director Chloé Zhao's first Marvel film, have come out heavily against it as it has been rated lowest amongst all the Marvel films on Rotten Tomatoes. Currently fresh with 64% from 92 critics reviews, it is two points lower than Chris Hemsworth's second outing as Thor - Thor: The Dark World.## However, the Rotten Tomatoes score should not be considered as the final outcome of a film's success. There have been many films in the past that had the lowest ratings but did amazingly well at the box office. One such film is Tom Hardy's "Venom" (2018), which got 30% from 359 critics' reviews but earned billions at the box office. ## Eternals is scheduled to release on November 5.## Stay tuned...

The Russo Brothers Tease Marvel Studios Return Hollywood

The Russo Brothers Tease Marvel Studios Return

Los Angeles, October 27 - Even though the Marvel movies have been helmed some of the finest Hollywood directors, Joe and Anthony Russo aka Russo Brothers are probably the most successful of them. The director duo has directed fours Marvel movies such as Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which not only became popular but also were commercially successful. ## Despite being so successful with Marvel, the Russo Brothers haven't worked on any other Marvel project since Endgame. However, in the new book "The Story of Marvel Studios: The Making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe", it's noted the Russos "softly retired" from the MCU after Endgame largely to make films under their own banner (AGBO). ## However, the book further adds that "there's an expectation that someday they'll work with Marvel Studios again". Stating the reason for their possible MCU comeback, Joe Russo says the Kevin Feige-led outfit is made up of the best collaborators they've had in Hollywood.## "We laugh a lot, and that's really important. We all have a very similar sense of humor, and we spent a lot of time making jokes with each other and enjoying each other's company during very long, difficult hours, whether in the story room, on set, or in the editing room. Everyone's very supportive and encouraging of one another", Joe added. ## "You can't undertake something as significant as the two most expensive movies ever made, back-to-back, without that kind of environment. You just wouldn't survive. There's no other way through it than with warmth and laughter", he said. ## Anthony Russo adds another reason the brothers love the studio is because of its commitment to the comic book source material. "It starts with their very specific passion for the material," he says. "That's a big part of it. Because of the connectivity, they have between what they do, what they say, what they think, and the actual work—it's all in synchronicity. It's all connected. For as hard as these movies were to make, the process with them could not have been easier", he said. ## Stay tuned...

But recently, WarnerMedia CEO, Ann Sarnoff had almost confirmed the sequel by saying to Deadline, "Will we have a sequel to Dune? If you watch the movie, you see how it ends. I think you pretty much know the answer to that".## Despite all the hints and possibilities of a sequel, "Dune" was still needed to perform at the box office and on HBO Max to get greenlit and it hasn't disappointed at all. Mumbai, October 26 - The global box office has witnessed a sharp jump in the second half of 2021, especially from October onwards. Gower Street Analytics, which projected the worldwide box office at $20.2 billion in mid-September, has now revised its projection to be up by over $1 billion to $21.6B in 2021. ## The revised global box office projection came after the solid response to October titles including MGM/Eon/Universal's James Bond "No Time To Die" ($525M), Sony/Marvel's "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" ($352M), Warner Bros/Legendary's "Dune" ($223M), and China's "The Battle At Lake Changjin" ($830M). Panel members must watch a title for at least five minutes to be counted as a viewer (as per variety).## Stay tuned...

James Gunn's 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3' Begins Production, According To Chris Pratt

Los Angeles, October 20 - The recent development in Marvel Studios and Disney saw a handful of the MCU films get delayed again. However, filmmaker James Gunn confirmed that his upcoming directorial "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" is unaffected by delays and the movie is still on track for the May 5, 2023 release. ## Meanwhile, a day after Marvel announced the big development, MCU star Chris Pratt confirmed that the "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" has started production. In a video on Twitter by Team Coco, Pratt said, "I'm on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, this is day one". ## However, director James Gunn stated that they haven't yet started filming but they are pretty close to beginning production. When asked about the video by Pratt, James Gunn admitted that the Marvel actor was on the sets of the film and they were rehearsing and doing camera tests and stuff. He said that the actual shooting will take some more time to take off. ## Chris is on set and we're rehearsing and doing camera tests and stuff - so it's his "first day" like it was my "first day" many months ago - but actual shooting is a while off. Btw, I didn't even know about this video when I first posted this. https://t.co/afqbXCyoFf— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) October 19, 2021 ## The third installment of the "Guardians Of The Galaxy" recently announced a major addition to the cast in form of The Maze Runner's Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, a genetically engineered superhuman created to destroy the Guardians. It is also said that Chris Hemsworth's Thor will also appear in the movie apart from Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, among others reprising their roles from the previous films. ## James Gunn had recently said in an interview that the upcoming MCU film is going to be one of his best yet as emotional connect is going to be the highlight of it. While there is not much information available about the plot of the film, it is said that Rocket's backstory will be a big part of the film and that a What If...? storyline was rejected because it was too similar to the real plot of Guardians 3.## Stay tuned...

The Marvels Director Blames Captain America For Thanos Snap In Avengers: Infinity War

Los Angeles, October 20 - The "Captain Marvel" sequel "The Marvels" director Nia DaCosta has a different take on the events of Thanos causing half of life in the universe to dust out of existence in Avengers: Infinity War by just a Snap. While the Marvel fans found Thanos responsible for "The Snap", "The Marvels" director explains Captain America may actually be at fault. ## Speaking to Inverse (via comicbook), Nia DaCosta explains how Captin America was at fault when the time came to decide between saving Vision or sacrificing an entire universe to Thanos, the Mad Titan. ## "Something I like to say a bit flippantly about Captain America is that the Snap is all his fault because he was trying to do his best, trying to do the right thing", the director told. "There is a world in which he's a villain because, at the end of the day, he should have just sacrificed Vision (to save the universe)".## "He chose one robot's life, albeit a sentient one, over literally the entire universe. There's a sort of anti-hero in that if you want to look at it through that lens. People would say I'm crazy for thinking that way, but there's something connected to the journey of the anti-hero and the hero", she added.## In Avengers: Infinity War, Vision had offered to sacrifice himself and mind stone to keep Thanos away from adding it to his Infinity Gauntlet. However, Steve Rogers aka Captain America denied his proposal by famously saying that the Avengers weren't in the business of trading lives. He then teamed up with Black Panther in Wakanda for one last stand against the invading aliens, only to lose as Thanos did kill Vision to claim the Mind Stone. ## Stay tuned...

It's really gorgeous. Its trailers haven't done it justice. pic.twitter.com/OpyXaBM6sa— Hector Navarro (@Hectorisfunny) October 19, 2021 ## #Eternals is the most un-#MCU film to date - so much so that it feels like a different franchise!Very interested to see how #Marvel fans react to that… 🤔My faves:#RichardMadden #AngelinaJolie#KumailNanjiani & #LaurenRidloff Review embargo lifts Sunday! pic.twitter.com/tojJUSxN87— Grace Randolph (@GraceRandolph) October 19, 2021 ## That said, it does not feel like a Marvel movie at all. It definitely feels like something different. Almost like its own movie. You could have called this #Eternals without the Marvel logo and no one would be the wiser. A lot of the MCU elements are not included in this movie.— Herb Scribner (@HerbScribner) October 19, 2021 ## Eternals is Marvel’s version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. A film that builds upon a cast of unknown characters and does so with great success. Chloé Zhao direction is superb. Easily one of the best looking Marvel films of all time. Insane post credits scenes too. #Eternals pic.twitter.com/TbZlqPJxGQ— Scott Menzel (@ScottDMenzel) October 19, 2021 ## The trailers don’t give much away about #eternals but it’s an amazing film that will having caring about each member of the family. The franchise is matured & this is only the beginning of what is possible. An absolutely breathtaking & epic film where @kumailn provides the laughs but @gemma_chan is the heart.— 🍅Jacqueline🍅 (@THATJacqueline) October 19, 2021 ## #Eternals is epic in every sense of the word. It's a story that is more massive but simultaneously more down-to-earth than the MCU has ever been. The passion everyone involved had for this movie is present in every scene and it needs to be seen on the biggest screen you can find pic.twitter.com/CyyqPt9dfn— Jack McBryan (@McBDirect) October 19, 2021 ## #Eternals is a cinematic experience. Zhao delivers something familiar yet so foreign in the best way possible. Greek mythology meets Interstellar meets the MCU. Ensemble is one of Marvel’s strongest. Barry Keoghan is a ROCKSTAR. Slow at times yes, but it pays off. @MCU_Direct— Liam Crowley - TheDirect.com (@LiamTCrowley) October 19, 2021 ## #Eternals is a whole lot of movie. It’s shot with a massive scope, looking visually different (and more intimate) than anything else Marvel. It has laughs, great surprises, and heart to go with the gigantic, crowded story it unpacks.Chloé Zhao has a really unique visual stamp. pic.twitter.com/hSMtwRlabv— BD (@BrandonDavisBD) October 19, 2021 ## #Eternals is amazing! Chloé Zhao & company turn in an evocative, emotional, extraordinarily epic superhero film. The ensemble have great chemistry & all get big Movie Moments to showcase their prowess. The naturalism of Ben Davis’ cinematography spotlights characters’ humanity. pic.twitter.com/MjZ2VheJ56— Courtney Howard (@Lulamaybelle) October 19, 2021 ## Kumail Nanjiani steals every scene in #Eternals and gives it so much energy and life as #Kingo. Also, especially huge fan of Lauren Ridloff as #Makkari, Barry Keoghan as #Druig, and Don Lee as #Gilgamesh.Richard Madden and Gemma Chan give really, really strong performances! pic.twitter.com/nhegaaQ4No— BD (@BrandonDavisBD) October 19, 2021 ## #Eternals is one of Marvel’s most ambitious films. Epic in scope, lavishly shot, and totally unapologetic about how much lore it dumps on you. Terrific cast, great direction, and delightfully comic book-y. Def not for everyone, but these are Jack Kirby’s space gods done right. pic.twitter.com/fsuexvcTwY— Dan Casey (@DanCasey) October 19, 2021 ## Had the honor of watching #Eternals today. Marvel was never as thrilling and fun and deep as this film, that has one of the action scenes of the entire franchise. Angelina Jolie might be the MVP. Her performance would give her an Oscar, if the Academy was less conservative.👇 pic.twitter.com/JMUYztquIr— Gabriel Carvalho (@gabirucarvalho) October 19, 2021 ## Stay tuned...

Los Angeles, October 19 - In a major development, Marvel Studios and Disney postponed the entire Phase 4 schedule of the MCU films, except Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, on Monday (October 18). While the reason behind this move wasn't explained at the time of postponement, many wonders if Disney and Marvel still fear the covid-19 pandemic. ## However, that is not the case this time around as Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige has explained the actual and genuine reason why the studio has reshuffled its Phase 4 schedule, starting with "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". ## Speaking to Variety's Marc Malkin at Monday's world premiere of Eternals, Feige told, "It's production shifts and changes, and because we have so many slots, we can just shift slots.## "All the Marvel slots are the same, we're just shifting when they're coming out. And yes, Strange [in the Multiverse of Madness] has moved six weeks, so instead of there being three months between Marvel movies, there will be five months between Marvel movies and I think we can all handle that", Feige added.## "It's production shifts and changes, and because we have so many slots, we can just shift slots," Kevin Feige says of the schedule changes that altered #DoctorStrange2's release date. https://t.co/F6rov2HB1g pic.twitter.com/ZaTmTKToWk— Variety (@Variety) October 19, 2021 ## Meanwhile, Marvel Studios' Disney release, "Eternals" is scheduled to debut in worldwide theaters on November 5. Los Angeles, October 18 - Marvel Studios' Phase 4 movies are going to be delayed again. "Doctor Strange 2" takes the slot of "Thor: Love And Thunder", which has been pushed from May 5, 2022, to July 8, 2022, while Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has shifted from that July date to November 11, 2022.## Brie Larson's "Captain Marvel" sequel, "The Marvels", which was supposed to release on November 11, 2022, will now be debuting on February 17, 2023, while Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has moved from February 2023 to July 28, 2023.## The only Disney-released MCU movie to stick where it was is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, which will still be released on May 5, 2023. Meanwhile, Disney has once again pushed the untitled "Indiana Jones" movie to June 30, 2023, from the previously dated July 29, 2022. ## Disney has also moved the entire schedule of the untitled MCU films. One of those on July 28, 2023, is now the release date for the new Ant-Man movie, while the other on October 6, 2023, has not been replaced by anything.## It's still unclear why Disney has moved the release of MCU films as its recently released "Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings" performed very well at the box office and earned $414 million worldwide so far. Disney, however, will still be releasing James Cameron's "Avatar 2" on December 16, 2022. ## Stay tuned...
