Megastar Chiranjeevi Takes Full Responsibility For 'Acharya' Box Office Failure

Hyderabad, October 13 - Megastar Chiranjeevi is enjoying the success of his latest hit Godfather. Though there are split opinions over the box office collection of the movie, the makers are in the mood for celebrations and have declared the film a big hit not just in India but overseas as well. ## The success of "Godfather" has come as a sigh of relief for megastar Chiranjeevi who was under pressure after the disastrous performance of his last movie Acharya. The movie, directed by Koratala Siva, was rejected by the audience from the second day onwards and it ended up as a big loss venture to the distributors. ## It was reported that Koratala Siva returned his remuneration to the distributors to make their losses and now, Chiranjeevi also makes a big claim regarding "Acharya". During the latest media interaction, Chiranjeevi said that he takes full responsibility for the film's box office failure and claimed that he and Ram Charan returned 80% of their remuneration to the producers after Acharya was rejected.## Ram Charan played a key role in the movie. Chiranjeevi further said that they take full responsibility when a film fails and at the same time, have no guilty feelings about the "Acharya" film. This is a kind gesture by the megastar towards the investors of the movie. ## Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi will next be seen in "Mega 154" which is directed by Bobby and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Speaking about the same, Chiranjeevi said, "My dialogues in Mega 154 will be delivered in the east Godavari dialect. Icon Star Allu Arjun Becomes The First South Indian Actor To Win The Indian of The Year Award

New Delhi, October 13 - Icon star Allu Arjun continues to win accolades post the blockbuster hit Pushpa - The Rise, which was released in December last year. While the movie was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021, the signature steps of AA as Pushpa continues to trend among the audience, especially in North India. ## Allu Arjun has created a huge fanbase in North India via the Hindi dubbed versions of his Telugu hit films on YouTube channels and TV. "Pushpa" became a huge hit in Hindi which made Allu Arjun a household name across the country and now, he has become the first South Indian actor to win the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year award. ## The superstar was recently honored with the prestigious award in New Delhi by union minister Smriti Irani. Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather' Producer Opens Up On The Film's Box Office Collection

Hyderabad, October 12 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's political action thriller film Godfather is playing in theaters and doing decent business at the box office. As per the trade analysts and box office tracking sites, the movie has grossed around 90 crores worldwide.## The producers of the movie recently declared that "Godfather" has already grossed over 100 crores worldwide. After announcing the said numbers with an official poster, the audience, and the trade people started trolling the makers for allegedly exaggerating box office data.## Amid the allegations about manipulating numbers, producer NV Prasad has now announced in a press release that the movie has grossed 60 crores Share collection in Telugu states while the overseas collection is also very good, including $1.1 million in the USA. ## He said that the movie wasn't sold to others and was released by their own banners and also talk about the film's Hindi collection. "There are amazing collections everywhere. The film was not sold to anyone, we released our own. Revenue is very strong. The collections are amazing and beyond our expectations. Hyderabad, October 8 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's mystical action adventure film Karthikeya 2 was a massive hit at the box office, grossing over 117 crores worldwide. The movie was also released in Hindi and grossed approx. 37 crores. Hyderabad, October 8 - Veteran Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna scored a super hit with the action thriller film Akhanda in December last year. The movie marked NBK's third film with director Boyapati Srinu and it went on to become the highest-grossing film in Balakrishna's career, grossing over 100 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Nandamuri Balakrishna is now gearing up for his next mass entertainer with director Gopichand Malineni. Hyderabad, October 7 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's political action thriller film Godfather is doing really well after coming from the Holiday release and heading towards a very good first weekend at the domestic box office. ## The Mohan Raja-directed movie that marks Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's Telugu debut scores an estimated 9.50-10.50 crores gross, including approx. 80 lakh in Hindi on its third day/first Friday, dropping just around 30% from yesterday. Box Office: Godfather And The Ghost Opening Day Early Estimates

Hyderabad, October 5 - Megastar Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan's Godfather has taken a very good opening at the box office despite the direct competition with Nagarjuna Akkineni's The Ghost. ## Directed by Mohan Raja, the political action thriller film scored an estimated 20-35 crores gross in both Telugu and Hindi languages. Chiranjeevi's last film Acharya had opened to approx. 43 crores gross but it had no competition.## "Godfather" grossed approx. 10.50 crores worth share collection in the Telugu states on the first day. It has been valued at approx. 90 crores worldwide and will need to hold well for at least two weeks to achieve the break even. Unlike "Acharya", the reviews and audience word of the mouth are positive for "Godfather" and this should help it achieve its target. ## Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the film has underperformed, which was very much expected. As per the early estimates, "Godfather" has minted approx. 80 lakh net in Hindi. The lack of promotion in Hindi and the film being a remake have probably played a part in less footfall for the Hindi version. ## On the other hand, Nagarjuna Akkineni's "The Ghost" takes a decent start considering the clash with "Godfather". Going by the early estimates, the action thriller film has grossed approx. 4-4.50 crores on the first day, including approx. 2 crores share. Ram Charan Is In The Talks With Director Mohan Raja For 'Dhruva 2'

Hyderabad, October 4 - Director Mohan Raja is coming with another remake film Godfather with Megastar Chiranjeevi. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on October 5th in Telugu and Hindi. Mohan Raja is known as the remake king as 7 of his 9 previous directorial films were remade, and except for one film, all have been big hits at the box office. ## "Godfather" is Mohan Raja's only second Telugu film, despite the fact that he made his debut with the Telugu movie, titled "Hanuman Junction" in 2001. It was his Tamil movie "Thani Oruvan" (the first film with an original story) that was later remade in Telugu with Ram Charan under the title of "Dhruva".## "Dhruva" was released in 2016, and now, Mohan Raja is in talks with Ram Charan for its sequel. RC15: Ram Charan's Political Thriller Pan India Film With Director Shankar Pushed To 2024

Hyderabad, October 3 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action thriller film with director S. Shankar is set to be postponed from its 2023 release. The movie marks their first collaboration and it also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. ## Tentatively titled RC15, the movie was being shot at a brisk pace, however, the shoot suddenly slowed down after Shankar resumed the shoot of Kamal Haasan's long-delayed Indian 2.
