Houston, Texas - Feb. 12 - In a middleweight fight on the main card, Jared Cannonier and Derek Brunson meet Saturday at UFC 271 at the Toyota Center in Houston. ## The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ starting at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the prelims on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m., and then the main card on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m. ET. ## UFC 271: Jared Cannonier Vs. Derek Brunson Full Fight ## 1st Round: The first round starts off...Cannonier is looking more confident than Derek. Cannonier throwing hard right hands. Brunson with a right hand for his first takedown but Cannonier sniffs it out immediately and defends. He's got Cannonier on the back foot and he drives into the hips against the fence. ## Cannonier is back on his feet again and fires another right at Brunson. Good body kick from Brunson though. Brunson takes that leg and gets a clinch and now he finishes the takedown. Cannonier is able to get back to half but Brunson stays up. Cannonier is finally able to stand up. ## Brunson drops Cannonier with a big counter right hook, Brunson is on top of him. Brunson is on the back and he's got a choke in! It's on the chin with the seconds ticking away and Cannonier is able to just survive to the horn! ## 2nd Round: We are into the second round, the first round was completely taken by Derek. Brunson starts the second round with an immediate single-leg, into a high crotch and finishes it. Brunson in the top half. He's able to eventually work his way up. Brunson takes a couple more shots. Big knee from Cannonier lands to the chin. Cannonier landing a couple of counters here. ## A clinch from Brunson, A beautiful right hook from Cannonier whips Brunson's head back. Cannonier is so strong, he separates and Cannonier hurts Brunson with a big elbow inside! Cannonier lands a hook and a head kick as Brunson stumbles off. Cannonier dumps Brunson to the floor and follows him with hammer fists followed by elbows and Brunson loses. ## UFC 271: Jared Cannonier Vs. Houston, Texas - Feb. 12 - In a heavyweight fight on the main card, Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa meet Saturday at UFC 271 at the Toyota Center in Houston. ## The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ starting at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the prelims on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m., and then the main card on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m. ET. ## Lewis has won five of the past six fights, including three KO/TKO wins in the past four outings and a loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC 265. Last time out he posted a first-round KO/TKO over Chris Daukaus in December to get back on track. ## Tuivasa also has four KO/TKO results in the past four fights, all victories, including a knockout of Augusto Sakai in Round 2 at UFC 269 in December 2011. He's certainly not looking for a takedown and Miragliotta breaks them up. Lewis throws a high kick that gets blocked. Now a jumping switch kick followed by then a big right hand. Lewis changes levels for a takedown. ## Tuivasa is up against the fence. Lewis unloads with huge right hands!!! Tuivasa start swinging back and is able to get up and get to space! Tuivasa's chin survives its first big test and now Tuivasa is again working the clinch. Lewis hip tosses Tuivasa. ## 2nd Round: Tai Tuivasa is one tough hombre. He ate a lot of the heaviest of the heavy punches from Derrick Lewis in Round 1. Both men looking surprisingly fit heading into the second. Tuivasa with kicks early followed by a big counter. Lewis with uppercuts and Tuivasa is hurt. Lewis follows him, clinching against the cage. ## Both are in the center and they are now trading shots, An heavy exchange from both fighters. Tuivasa eats a shot, Lewis get slumped. Derrick is down here, Tuivasa knocks Derrick out. ## UFC 271: Derrick Lewis Vs. Houston, Texas - Feb. 12 - UFC 271 is scheduled to be headlined by A UFC Middleweight Championship rematch between current champion Israel Adesanya and former champion Robert Whittaker. ## The pairing met previously in October 2019 at UFC 243, when then-interim champion Adesanya knocked out Whittaker in the second round to unify the middleweight title. ## UFC 271 will take place on February 12, 2022, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, United States. ## UFC 271: Israel Adesanya Vs. Robert Whittaker Full Video Highlights ## 1st Round: No high fly offense in the beginning, Adesanya is only working with jabs for now. Not much to work with. Whittaker tries a lunge forward but nothing happens. Adesanya is dictating this fight entirely, moving Whittaker around the cage and a snapping right-hand drops Whittaker. ## Whittaker gets back up immediately. Whittaker shoots a naked takedown but Adesanya, but he manages to get out of it. Adesanya is still landing calf kicks. That was one-way traffic. ## Second Round: 10-9 Adesanya after the first round. Adesanya is too clean on the counters. And his leg is taking too much damage. Whittaker looks discouraged in the corner. Adesanya slipped the jabs from Whittaker and countered. Adesanya is kicking the legs less, so that's good I guess. ## Whittaker is biting down and swinging though and he's landing with it. Whittaker gets Adesanya to the mat but Adesanya is against the fence and already looking to stand. Adesanya is working and undertaking to get out. ## Whittaker is coming forward in combination. Another clinch attempt from Whittaker but it gets nowhere. Adesanya is attacking the lead leg of Whittaker to take away all The power and forward boxing pressure. Whittaker can not win moving backward he must Check kicks with forwarding pressure. ## 3rd Round: A good jab from Whittaker catches Adesanya coming in though. Feints from Adesanya are opening up chances for the champion as Whittaker is reacting a lot. Adesanya lands a strong counter. ## A low kick from Adesanya gets a shot out of Whittaker. Adesanya hits with a high kick and Whittaker catches it and drives Adesanya to the mat. He's immediately up. Whittaker lands a left hook as Adesanya steps in. Whittaker has had some success on the counter but there is just not enough of it. ## 4th Round: Whittaker with some dirty boxing but he's also eating shots. He gets in on the waist and takes Adesanya down, Adesanya is up immediately. Adesanya is on his feet. ## Whittaker is not backing down though, Adesanya is looking to land a fadeaway right hook to close this one out but Whittaker is not letting it happen. Whittaker forces a clinch but he's not getting much going with it. ## 5th Round: Good competitive fight. Whittaker's adjustments were for real. WWE filming The February 18 Elimination Chamber go-home edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX tonight at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. ## WWE is filming next week's episode tonight, as they'll be traveling to Saudi Arabia that night. Check out the Full Spoilers Results. ## --The face-off between WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg opened the episode. This was basic trash talking between the two, not a long segment at all and no fighting. Goldberg came out to his longer entrance from his dressing room, with pyro and all. ## --Ricochet defeated Sheamus ## --Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to become the new IC Champion ## --Ivar defeated SmackDown Tag team Champion Jimmy Uso ## --There was a promo segment featuring Drew McIntyre with Madcap Moss and Happy Baron Corbin. ## --There were extended promos for Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg and the Elimination Chamber. ## --- A contract signing between Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs. Sonya Deville & Charlotte. During the contract signing, Rousey attacks Flair by sending her head into the table and throwing the contract on her face. Meanwhile, Naomi follows up a Roundhouse kick on Sonya Deville. After abusing her power at the expense of Naomi week after week on SmackDown, as well as during the Royal Rumble Match, WWE Official Sonya Deville surprised just about everybody when she informed her adversary that she would get a SmackDown Women’s Title Match against Charlotte Flair this week on SmackDown. ## Naomi has battled Flair in two heated Championship Contender's Matches, with Deville’s trickery costing her any chance of winning. ## Check Out The Full Match Recap: ## They lock up and with a slap on the brake to Charlotte. Charlotte with a side headlock and shoulder tackle. Charlotte pulls Naomi onto the mat. Naomi takes it down with a head-scissor and hits the Irtish whip but flips Charlotte Flair onto the apron. Naomi kicks Charlotte off the apron and hits a Pescado on Charlotte. ## Back from the commercial break, Charlotte sends Naomi into the turnbuckle and chokes Naomi in the corner. Naomi with shoes in the jaw and Charlotte falls into the corner. Charlotte sends Naomi to the apron and Naomi with a round kick. ## Naomi goes up and hits a cross body to almost fall. Naomi with a waist lock and Charlotte with a back elbow. Charlotte misses a clothesline. ## But she pulls Naomi off the ropes on a springboard move. Charlotte gets a near fall. Charlotte has scissors in her head and pushes Naomi's head onto the mat. ## Charlotte misses the boot in the corner and Naomi kicks Charlotte in the back of the second leg. Naomi with a spin sits Jaw Breaker for a near fall. Naomi with a jackknife cover. ## Charlotte with chops and a backbreaker for a near fall. Charlotte with a bow and arrow around the ring post. Naomi with a kick. Naomi with a springboard round kick and she goes up. Naomi in for a near fall with a blockbuster. They go to the floor and Charlotte sends Naomi into the ring steps. ## Back from the commercial break, Naomi connects with a jawbreaker to escape. Naomi with a lateral press to counter a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near fall. Naomi lands a springobard round kick for a near fall. ## Charlotte Flair lifts Naomi up and sends Naomi to the mat with a massive Powerbomb for near fall. Charlotte walks over to Naomi to go to the turnbuckles for a Moonsault attempt. Naomi moves and Charlotte with the Andrade but Naomi gets her knees up. Naomi with Rear View for a near fall. Naomi polls Charlotte into the corner and Naomi goes for a split-legged Moonsault but Charlotte gets her knees up. Charlotte with a rollup for a near fall. ## Naomi connects with a Full Nelson bomb and she almost collapses. Naomi with a head-scissor driver for a near fall. Naomi goes to the turnbuckle for a split-legged Moonsault and hits her for a near fall. To stop the count, Charlotte put her foot on the rope. ## Charlotte avoids Rear View and clips Naomi. WWE Elimination Chamber Match Gets Stipulation

A stipulation has been added to one of the matches at WWE Elimination Chamber. During the February 11 episode of SmackDown, McIntyre revealed that the match at Elimination Chamber would be contested under Falls Count Anywhere rules. ## After suffering a two-on-one backstage attack from Moss and Happy Corbin at WWE Day 1, McIntyre made a shocking return from his severe neck injury months earlier than expected to nearly win the Royal Rumble Match. ## Although McIntyre eliminated Corbin and Moss during the free-for-all, the slapstick duo still attempted to ambush The Scottish Warrior back on SmackDown. McIntyre and his sword Angela stopped them in their tracks, and McIntyre responded to Moss’ subsequent "Drew McIntyre" joke by hitting him with vicious Claymore Kick. Later on SmackDown, the match was made official between McIntyre and Madcap Moss. ## WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Report: Xavier Woods No Longer Listed On WWE's Inactive List

WWE SmackDown superstar Xavier Woods could be returning to WWE soon. ## Per FightFul, Xavier Woods was no longer listed on WWE's inactive list as of the January 28 episode of Smackdown. However, he didn't appear on the show, or at that weekend's Royal Rumble, so it's unsure of when he'll actually return or if he's actually been cleared. ## He's not currently on the inactive list internally. On the January 14, 2022 edition of SmackDown, Woods was diagnosed with a torn plantaris, rendering him unable to compete for 4-6 weeks. ## Xavier Woods' New Day teammate Big E was moved to the Smackdown roster during Xavier Woods' absence. He's not competed since the January 7 episode of the show. Lita's match against Becky Lynch at WWE Elimination Chamber came out of nowhere. ## In an interview with Ring The Belle, Lita revealed that she was supposed to go home after her Royal Rumble match, but then she was asked to face Becky Lynch. ## "After St. Louis, I was supposed to go home. On Sunday, I drove to Cincinnati, swung by Renee [Paquette's] house and was like, 'girl, what can I wear?' Johnny Ace asked me, 'Do you want to fight Becky?' You know that I do and you know that she does. 'How about in two weeks?' 'Uhhh, no, but yes,' not only because I want to train and have a go, but seize the moment and take the opportunity when it's there. Sort it all out in the wash," Lita said. ## Lynch has referred to Lita as her hero growing up and Lita explained why this match is so important for both women. ## "This match is a true generational clashing match. We are very kindred spirits. She live like a pirate, took a meandering journey to get to her spot in WWE. We cut from the same cloth. I saw a lot of her in me as she was starting.
