'Mad Max' Stunt Director Joins Ranbir Kapoor, Yash's 'Ramayana'

Mumbai, May 29 - Kannada superstar Yash has begun filming for epic Ramayana, being directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The actor is playing the role of Raavan alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, and Sunny Deol as Bajrang Bali. ## The mega-budgeted two-part epic has roped in a celebrated Hollywood stunt director, Guy Norris, to choreograph action sequences. Norris had previously designed action sequences of "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," "Mad Max: Fury Road," and "The Suicide Squad," among others. ## Norris is currently in India working closely with Yash to craft set pieces that could redefine Indian cinema's approach to large-scale spectacle. A couple of pictures of Norris with Yash leaked online, in which the duo seems to be discussing the action scenes. ## Ramayana is produced by Yash's Monster Mind Creations and Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios. Mumbai, May 29 - In an era where the theatrical business feels uncertain and dominated by large-scale spectacles, arrives a quiet exception, Chidiya — a small, heartfelt film that has taken a decade-long flight to reach cinemas. ## Produced by Faqhrul Husaini under the Smiley Films banner and distributed by Reliance Entertainment, Chidiya is set to release in selected Indian cinemas on 30 May 2025. Written and directed by Mehran Amrohi, the film was completed nearly ten years ago. ## The film had its world premiere at the Zlín International Film Festival in the Czech Republic — one of the most respected global festivals for children's cinema — and went on to win awards in India, Russia, and New York. ## "It's a film that aged with grace", says producer Faqhrul Husaini. "We always believed that if the story had heart, it would find its place." ## Set in a modest Mumbai chawl, Chidiya follows two young brothers, Shanu and Bua, who dream of building a badminton court out of a junkyard. With nothing but hope and imagination, their journey becomes a quiet metaphor for resilience and childhood defiance. ## The cast features acclaimed actors Vinay Pathak, Amruta Subhash, and Inaamulhaq, alongside newcomers Svar Kamble and Ayush Pathak in standout child performances. The music, composed by Shailendra Barve and lyrics written by Mehran Amrohi and Jitendra Joshi, reflects the film’s emotional and lyrical world. ## Backing the film's theatrical release is Reliance Entertainment, where Amit Awasthi says, "In today's time, only content is working — and on that front, Chidiya is very strong. It's a film that connects emotionally, and we're proud to support it." ## With a runtime of 115 minutes and a U certificate, Chidiya will open in select cinemas with a regionally focused rollout. Hrithik Roshan Teams Up With 'KGF' Producer Hombale Films For A Big Pan-India Film

Mumbai, May 28 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has teamed up with KGF producer, Hombale Films, for a big Pan India film. An unexpected announcement was made official on Wednesday, May 28. ## Hombale Films has established itself as one of South India's biggest production houses, delivering a couple of the country's biggest blockbusters in the form of KGF films, Kantara, and Salaar. The studio currently has Kantara: Chapter 1, Salaar 2, and a couple of other big projects in the pipeline. ## While the specific details about the Hrithik x Hombale project, including the rest of the star cast, genre, and shooting timeline, are not known yet, it is said that the film is in early development. This also marks Hombale's debut in Hindi cinema. ## Hombale Films founder Vijay Kiragandur said, "Very happy with this collaboration. Mumbai, May 28 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff and actress Janhvi Kapoor are set to team up for the first time for a revenge action love story film, to be directed by Good Newwz director Raj Mehta. It will be Mehta's first directorial since Akshay Kumar-fronted Selfiee (2023). ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the film has been titled Lag Jaa Gale. It is said that Mehta has been working on the script for a while and wanted to have a first-time pairing on board. Both Tiger and Janhvi instantly agreed to come on board the film upon hearing the narration. ## "The team was contemplating several titles, and felt that Lag Jaa Gale is the apt one for the story. It's a pure revenge actioner with a strong love story in the backdrop", says the report. ## The pre-production of Lag Jaa Gale has begun, and it will go on floors by October this year for the second half of 2026 release on the big screen. Karan Johar will produce the film under his banner, Dharma Productions. Dharma is the regular collaborator of Raj Mehta, who has directed all three films under the same banner. ## Tiger, meanwhile, will next be seen in Baaghi 4, which releases on September 5. Mumbai, May 26 - Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, in association with Zee Studios, has announced the new release date of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri-fronted Dhadak, which is the sequel to 2018's Dhadak, starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. ## On Monday (May 26), the studio took to social media to drop the first look poster, confirming that the movie will hit the big screen on August 1 this year. In one of the posters, Siddhant is seen with fire in his eyes, embracing Triptii in a protective grip. The second poster presents a close-up of Triptii’s character, her expression tender yet resolved as she clings to the man she loves. ## The tagline in the posters reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna", which translates to, "If you ever have to choose between dying or fighting, then choose to fight", which reflects the film's tone and theme. ## Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is said to be the remake of 2018's Tamil movie, Pariyerum Perumal. Hyderabad, May 26 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to keep the 'A'-rated (18+) tone for his upcoming film Spirit, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas and actress Tripti Dimri. The movie was earlier supposed to feature Deepika Padukone as the female lead, but she has now been replaced by Tripti. ## Sandeep Vanga has directed 3 films so far, and all of them were A-rated. With Spirit, the maverick filmmaker is not going to change his style, and has reportedly conveyed the same to the lead pair. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the cop action thriller will be a quintessential Telugu entertainer, but the director is bringing a twist to the genre by spinning in an A-rated twist. "Apart from the use of ample blood in the action scenes, Spirit will also boast a lot of bold sequences featuring the two leads", says the report. ## The report further states that SRV has conveyed the requirement of shooting bold scenes to both Prabhas and Tripti, and they have agreed to the same.
