The movie was officially announced earlier this year with Alia Bhatt stepping into the world of spies with Sharvari Wagh. ## As the shoot of Alpha is happening at a brisk pace, YRF has locked one of the biggest release dates of this much-anticipated blockbuster. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha will open in theatres on December 25, 2025, on the occasion of the Christmas festival. ## Alpha marks a significant shift for the action-packed YRF's Spy Universe series, which has previously centred on male protagonists. Hyderabad, October 3 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 has enjoyed a superb collection so far in the first 6 days. The movie got a huge boost to its collection on Wednesday due to the Gandhi Jayanti national holiday. ## On its 7th day, the first Thursday, Devara is witnessing a drop of over 60% which was expected to some extent. In Telugu states, the movie is expected to gross in the range of 4.50-5 on its 7th day, as per estimates while in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, gross collection is estimated to be in the range of 1.25-1.50 crores. ## After the good first 6 days, the North India belt has also witnessed a drop of around 70% as estimates suggest 2-2.50 crores gross collection in this region. The dubbed Hindi version is estimated to score 2-2.50 crores net collection on the first Thursday. ## Overall, Devara is expected to gross in the range of 8-9 crores in gross collection on its 7th day to conclude the first week with around 255 crores gross (223 crores net) in all versions which is a fantastic total. The project in question will not be part of Maddock Supernatural Universe, but mark the beginning of a new one. ## It is said that SRK is aiming to have a 3-film line-up in place before he starts shooting for director Sujoy Ghosh's King. Chennai, October 3 - Legendary Kamal Haasan and maverick director S. Shankar reunited for Indian 2, the sequel to their cult blockbuster Indian (1996), in July this year. The sequel was split into two parts with the second part, Indian 3, confirmed to hit the screens early 2025. ## Indian 2 was released amid huge anticipation, however, it soon turned into a massive disappointment for the makers as well as fans. The movie met with disaster reviews and public talks which severely impacted its box office. Despite the big opening, the movie ended up as a huge failure with approximately 150 crores gross collection worldwide. ## Now, according to the latest buzz in Tamil media, the makers are considering a direct digital release of Indian 3 after the lukewarm response to its predecessor. The buzz is that the makers are not sure about the film's success if it releases in theatres as the buzz is nowhere near to what it was for Indian 2. ## The official confirmation, however, has not yet been made by the makers but the chances are high that the movie will skip theatrical release due to the high risk involved. In the 49 days so far, Stree 2 has scored 1+ crore net collection in 46 days, making it the only film to achieve the feat in a single language. ## The latest mega-blockbuster is around 8 crore net collection away from topping the 600 crore milestone, which has never been achieved in a particular language. It is expected to sail through as the holiday season approaches, however, the upcoming films along with the holdovers might make a dent which needs to be seen.## At the worldwide box office, Stree 2 has minted approximately 840 crores gross, including 706 crores gross in India and an estimated 134 crores overseas collection. Mumbai, October 2 - The year 2024 has been super successful for the Malayalam cinema, and one of the standout films to come out from the Mollywood industry has been megastar Mammootty's period folk horror Bramayugam. ## Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Bramayugam received extremely positive reviews from critics upon its release in February this year. It is now ranked as one of the best horror movies of 2024 (so far) by Letterboxd, an online social cataloging service for films. ## According to the average Letterboxd member rating, Bramayugam is the second-best horror movie of 2024, behind The Substance, an international co-production between the United Kingdom, the United States and France (as of October 1st). ## Bramayugam is the only Indian horror movie of the year to feature in the Letterboxd's top 10 movies.
