Ram Charan Was Not The First Choice of Director Shankar For 'Game Changer'

Hyderabad, April 6 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan is busy with the shooting of his much-awaited political action thriller film Game Changer with director Shankar. However, it has now been revealed that Charan wasn't his first choice for the movie. ## During a recent interview with Mirchi9, producer Dil Raju revealed that director Shankar wanted to make the movie with superstar Pawan Kalyan. However, after listing the story for 45-minutes, Dil Raju told Shankar that Ram Charan would be the perfect fit for the role and that's how he came on board RC15, now a "Game Changer".## Written by Karthik Subbaraj and screenplay penned by Shankar, "Game Changer" in the last leg of shoot and it will soon be wrapped up. Ram Charan plays the protagonist while Kiara Advani is the leading lady along with S. J. Suryah, among others in key roles.## The movie marks Shankar's debut in Telugu cinema. The release date is not announced yet but reports say it will either release on Christmas 2023 or March/April 2024. Hyderabad, April 3 - Natural Star Nani's period action drama Dasara has lived up to its hype and emerged as a successful venture within the opening weekend itself. The movie did good business across Telugu states as well as overseas. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara has become the highest-grossing film of Nani's career as a lead hero. On the 4-day opening weekend, it grossed approx. 84 crores worldwide, surpassing MCA Middle-Class Abbayi's 70 crores approx. worldwide total in 2017.## The movie has performed brilliantly in Telugu states, grossing 55 crores, including approx. 33.50 crores share collection. Hyderabad, April 1 - Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama Dasara was in full flow on the opening day of its release at the domestic as well as overseas box office. Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, the movie shattered all the records of the previous films of Nani and Tier-2 Telugu actors. ## Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, Dasara grossed an excellent 23.50 crores, including approx. 14.20 crores share in Telugu states on the first day, which is a record for a non-super star's film. The previous record belonged to Vijay Deverakonda's LIGER which grossed approx. 15 crores, including approx. 9 crores share in AP/TG. ## Nani's previous biggest opening-day grosser movie was Middle Class Abbayi (MCA) which scored approx. 7.50 crores share in AP/TG. Hyderabad, March 29 - Telugu actor Ravi Teja's maiden Pan India movie Tiger Nageswara Rao, directed by Vamsee has been confirmed to release on October 20, on the occasion of Dushehra 2023. ## The film is set in the 1970s and is based on the life of the infamous titular thief from a village called Stuartpuram.
