Box Office: Aadujeevitham Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Malayalam Movie Worldwide
Kochi, April 14 - Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life has become the third highest-grossing Malayalam movie at the worldwide box office after beating Mohanlal's Pulimurugan in 18 days. ## Directed by Blessy, Aadujeevitham grossed an estimated 137.50 crores, including around 82.50 crores in India and 55 crores overseas through the third Saturday (17 days). On its third Sunday (18th day), the film heading towards scoring an estimated 2.50 crores which will take its total collection to around 140 crores, surpassing Pulimurugan's 139.50 crores. ## Aadujeevitham is now behind only Manjummel Boys (232 crores) and 2018 (180 crores) as the third biggest Malayalam grosser, and it will finish with this position as it is unlikely to top any of the top two films. The movie has performed exceptionally well, both at the domestic and worldwide box office. ## It is an adaptation of the 2008 best-selling Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham by Benyamin, which is based on the real-life story of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant labourer, one among thousands of Indians who were forced into slavery in Saudi Arabia as goatherds on secluded farms in the deserts by the native Arabs. ## Stay tuned...
