Maddock Films Announces Theatrical Release Dates of John Abraham's 'Tehran', Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhava', Shraddha Kapoor's 'Stree 2' And 7 More Films

Mumbai, October 3 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has announced the theatrical release dates of its 10 films that will debut in theatres over the next two years. Among the 10 films, "Happy Teachers Day" will release this year while 6 films will debut in 2024, and 3 films will hit screens in 2025.## Happy Teachers Day - Directed by Mikhil Musale, the movie stars Nimrat Kaur, Radhika Madan, Bhaygashree, and Subodh Bhave in prominent roles. It will hit screens on October 27, 2023. ## Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's untitled next - Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon team up for the first for this robotic romantic comedy film, billed as an impossible love story. Directed by Amit Joshi & Aradhana Sah and also starring Dharmendra, and Dimple Kapadia, the movie will be released on February 9, 2024, during Valentine's Day weekend.## Munjhya - A part of Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, Munjhya stars Sharvari Wagh in the lead role alongside, Mona Singh, S Satyaraj, and Abhay Verma. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, it will be released on March 29, 2024.## Tehran - Directed by Arun Gopalan, the movie stars John Abraham, Manushi Chillar, and Neeru Bajwa in the leading roles. The movie has been in production since last year and was supposed to be released in January 2023. It will now be hitting cinemas on April 26, 2024.## Stree 2 - Easily the most-awaited movie from Maddock Films, "Stree 2" is the sequel to 2018's film which was the first movie in the studio's horror-comedy universe. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie stars Shraddha Kapoor in the title role alongside, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The movie will be released on August 30, 2024.## Sky Force - Another big-budgeted war movie, which was recently announced. Starring superstar Akshay Kumar, and marking the debut of Veer Pahariya, "Sky Force" is based on India's first and deadliest air strike during the Indo-Pak war in 1965. It is directed by Sandeep Kewlani & Abhishek Anil Kapur and will be released on October 2, 2024.## Chaava - This historical action drama film is a larger-than-life biopic of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire's founder and the great warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Vicky Kaushal plays the lead role with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Directed by Laxman Utekar, "Chaava" will hit cinemas on December 6, 2024.## Ekkis - Directed by Sriram Raghavan, and starring Dharmendra, Agastya Nanda, and Jaideep Ahlawat, Ekkis will be released on January 10, 2025.## Vampires of Vijaynagar - Another movie that is touted to be a part of the horror-comedy universe. Maddock Films hasn't revealed that cast yet, but reports say it will be headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. It will be directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, and Maddock has scheduled it for February 14, 2025, release on Valentine's Day.## Diler - Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, it will hit theatres on April 10, 2025. Mumbai, October 3 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's yet-untitled romantic-comedy film that was scheduled to release on December 8, 2023, has been postponed to February 2024. ## Billed as An Impossible Love Story, the movie is written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah while Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films has produced it. December 2023 has been packed with many blockbuster releases, keeping a very short gap between the two movies.## The robotic romantic-comedy movie will now be released on Valentine's Day 2024 weekend, on February 9, in the best interest of the movie. The movie's theme is in sync with Valentine's Day which will appeal to the youth. Mumbai, October 2 - After the good extended opening weekend, "Fukrey 3" holds really well on its first Monday which is a holiday in the form of Gandhi Jayanti. The drop from Sunday is around 25% which was expected as tomorrow is a proper working day which means the night shows are as strong as they were on Sunday.## "Fukrey 3", on its first Monday/5th day, scored an estimated 11-11.50 crores net collection, taking the total collection to around 55 crores. It all boils down to Tuesday which will be the first litmus test for the movie. If it holds well, then the first 8-day week can be around 70 crores net. ## A good hold on Tuesday will also keep "Fukrey 3" in the race to top 100 crores net collection which will be a win for the makers. Mumbai, October 2 - The record-breaking run of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has unlocked a couple of new box office territories for the Bollywood film industry. The movie is breaking records for fun and still, there is no sign of slowing down anytime soon.## Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" has become the first film ever to top 550 crores net collection in Hindi as well as in a single language in India. The action thriller crossed this magical figure on its 26th day for 554.44 crores net. The second biggest movie in the single language is Sunny Deol's "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" with around 525 crores net. ## The film keeping the dream alive to top 600 crores net collection in Hindi, however, it will need to hold extremely well in the coming days to conquer this yet untouched box office mark. The coming weekend will determine whether it will reach the 600 crores mark as there are a couple of new films, including Akshay Kumar's "Mission Raniganj" will be released this Friday. ## While 600 crores box office mark in Hindi is still a long way, "Jawan" has topped this figure in all versions, including Tamil and Telugu, and becomes the first Bollywood movie ever to do so. The movie breached this mark, yesterday, on its 25th day as its total net collection stands at around 605 crores which includes 57 crores net in Tamil and Telugu versions.## Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" is also nearing 1100 crores at the worldwide box office. It grossed 1084 crores through the 4th Sunday (25th day) and is likely to cross the 1100 crores gross mark by tomorrow. The movie should score another double-digit box office collection tomorrow, on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday.## The trend for the movie has been good with very good growth over the weekend. PVR Pictures was renamed PVR INOX Pictures after the completion of the merger between the two companies. ## Kamal Gianchandani, CEO at PVR INOX, announced on Twitter/X that "Jawan" has crossed 215 crores net collection in PVRINOX, becoming the highest-grossing film ever. The national multiplex chains continue to dominate the overall collection which was expected.## On its third day/first Saturday, "Fukrey 3" scored an estimated 11-11.50 crores net, taking the total collection to around 28 crores in three days. The movie should see another similar kind of jump on Sunday as Monday is again a holiday which will help night shows tomorrow. ## The 4-day extended weekend is looking to be around 41-44 crores net which is a very good collection. In its original run, the movie grossed 1050+ crores, and now, "Jawan" has crossed this mark on its 23rd day. The total 23 days collection of the film is estimated around 1055 crores gross globally.## "Jawan", which is directed by Atlee Kumar, has become the 5th highest-grossing Indian and 2nd Bollywood movie of all time globally. Aamir Khan-fronted "Dangal" is currently the biggest grosser ever and is the only film to top 2000 crores worldwide, including over 1300 crores at the China box office.## Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" has grossed approximately 705 crores at the domestic box office and 350 crores overseas. It is the biggest opening in the franchise which has been super successful at the box office.## The movie is showing a drop of around 10-15% on its second day/first Friday for an estimated 7.50 crores net collection. The drop was expected as the Thursday opening day of the movie was a partial holiday due to Eid in some states. ## The collection of the movie is strong in Delhi and UP where the previous two films have done well and the latest movie continues the trend. "Gadar 2" has scored 524.80 crores while "Pathaan" minted 524.53 crores net earlier this year.## Shah Rukh Khan, for the second time in a year, claimed the title of the highest-grosser of all time. Earlier, his "Pathaan" became the biggest movie in Hindi by surpassing SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" which scored 511 crores net in 2017. ## Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" will also become the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023 at the worldwide box office.
