Previously known as VD14, Rana Baali marks Vijay Deverakonda's return to a rugged, intense space with a character rooted in history. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, who earlier collaborated with Vijay on Taxiwaala, the film is set against the backdrop of the British colonial era and promises a gritty tale of resistance, rebellion, and sacrifice. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead Jayamma, reuniting with Vijay after the hugely successful Geetha Govindam and the cult-favourite Dear Comrade.
