Mumbai, Jan 13, 2022: Today completes 27 Glorious years of Mega Blockbuster Karan Arjun starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in lead roles. The film was a massive blockbuster at the box office and tore apart all the initial records due to the unprecedented pre-release hype.

Karan Arjun was released on 13th January 1995 With a Blockbuster first-day crowd and emerged as a record opener. It was the first record opener of both the khans. Later the film also smashed the weekend record. The film had drawn the highest number of audiences in its first week till the release of the film.

Karan Arjun eventually emerged as a true-blue Blockbuster at the box office and in interiors, the film just ran riot and it can be said with 100% certainty that no other film of the 90s could have worked as huge as Karan Arjun in interiors and as a result, Karan Arjun had a very high number of footfalls making it one of the most-watched films of the decade theatrically, in a decade which saw all India Blockbusters like Hum Aapke Hain Koun(1994) and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge(1995). Karan Arjun was 3rd Huge Blockbuster of Salman Khan till its release and it was the first huge blockbuster of Shah rukh Khan.

Both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have completed more than 25 Years in the industry and to date, Karan Arjun remains among their biggest Blockbusters. For Salman Khan, Karan Arjun is his 4th Biggest hit after Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Maine Pyar Kiya, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan while for Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Arjun remains his 3rd Biggest hit after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

In terms of business with today's ticket prices, Karan Arjun will have around 500 Cr Gross Box office collections if a similar number of tickets sells. The Director Rakesh Roshan has directed some huge hits in his career and Karan Arjun is right up at the top along with Kaho Na Pyar Hai.
