Aamir Khan Reunites With Rajkumar Hirani For The Biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke
Mumbai, May 15 - A day after it was reported that Telugu superstar Jr. NTR is in talks to play the Father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, on the big screen in the movie titled Made In India, it has now been announced that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani are reuniting for the Dadasaheb Phalke's biopic.
Aamir and Hirani, who previously worked together in 3 Idiots (2008) and PK (2024), have been in talks for their third collaboration, which has now been officially confirmed. It will be Aamir Khan's immediate next project after Sitaare Zameen Par, which releases on June 20 this year.
The shoot of the yet untitled biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke will commence in October 2025, and Aamir will start preparation for it after the release of SZP. Set against the backdrop of India's independence struggle, the film will chronicle the extraordinary journey of the man who laid the foundation of Indian cinema.
The script has been in the works for four years, and it is finally getting ready to go on the floors soon. It is said that a VFX Studio from Los Angeles will work on the project.
