Mumbai, May 20 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan delighted the fans by announcing his reunion with director Rajkumar Hirani for the biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke, who is known as the father of Indian cinema. The celebrated duo had previously collaborated on the blockbuster films like 3 Idiots (2009) and PK (2014). ## The actor-director duo of Aamir and Hirani has quietly been developing this project for some years, and now, they are set to take it on the floors by the end of this year. According to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, Aamir and Hirani are targeting April 30, 2027, for the film's release. ## The release date aligns with Phalke's 157th birth anniversary, and the makers aim to deliver an unparalleled cinematic experience chronicling the origins of Indian cinema. Pre-production will reportedly begin in October as the plan is to wrap it up by mid-2026, allowing sufficient time for intensive post-production work, including intricate VFX. ## It is said that Aamir will undergo extensive preparation, including dialect coaching and other forms of specialised training, to accurately portray the role of Dadasaheb Phalke. Mumbai, May 15 - A day after it was reported that Telugu superstar Jr. NTR is in talks to play the Father of Indian Cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, on the big screen in the movie titled Made In India, it has now been announced that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani are reuniting for the Dadasaheb Phalke's biopic. ## Aamir and Hirani, who previously worked together in 3 Idiots (2008) and PK (2024), have been in talks for their third collaboration, which has now been officially confirmed. It will be Aamir Khan's immediate next project after Sitaare Zameen Par, which releases on June 20 this year. ## The shoot of the yet untitled biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke will commence in October 2025, and Aamir will start preparation for it after the release of SZP. Set against the backdrop of India's independence struggle, the film will chronicle the extraordinary journey of the man who laid the foundation of Indian cinema. ## The script has been in the works for four years, and it is finally getting ready to go on the floors soon. Jr. NTR To Headline The Biopic of 'Father of Indian Cinema' Dadasaheb Phalke

Hyderabad, May 14 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR is set to headline the biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke, who is regarded as the father of Indian cinema. The film, titled Made In India, was announced back in September 2023 by producer Varun Gupta (Max Studios) and SS Karthikeya (Showing Business) as a Pan India title. ## Ever since the film was announced, SS Rajamouli, along with SS Karthikeya and Varun Gupta, have been working on the script diligently and now, they have reportedly locked a draft. The script was recently narrated to Jr. NTR, who immediately gave his nod to the project, according to the report by Pinkvilla.## "NTR Jr. heard the script and was blown away with the lesser-known tales of Dadasaheb Phalke, who is termed as the 'Father of Indian Cinema'. The story chronicles the birth and rise of Indian Cinema, and NTR was surprised by the detailing. He is excited to play the father of Indian Cinema on the big screen", says the report.## The RRR star is presently shooting for director Prashanth Neel's period action drama Dragon, and then moves on to director Nelson Dilipkumar's next. The actor won this honour for mega-blockbuster Jawan in which he played a dual role. ## The superstar said in his acceptance speech, "Thank you for accepting me as a best actor. I hadn't won the Best Actor award for a while now and thought that I wouldn't receive it now. But I am so happy I got this award. I am genuinely thrilled and touched".## While SRK grabbed the Best Actor, actress Nayanthara took the Best Actress award for the same film that marked her Bollywood debut.
