Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' Gets Digital Release Date On ZEE5

Anand L Rai's directorial film was released in theaters on August 11 and has had a decent outing at the box office. The movie grossed approx. 68 crores worldwide, and now, it will stream on ZEE5 after completing 8 weeks of theatrical run on October 5.

"Raksha Bandhan" deals with the burning issue of dowry among Indian families. Set in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi, the film follows Lala Kedarnath (Akshay Kumar), who runs a street food shop, the third generation of his family to do so. He plays a role of a brother whose primary concern is getting his four sisters married, and at the same time, dealing with the problem of dowry.

Produced by Cape of Good Films and Colour Yellow Productions in association with Zee Studios, the movie also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Smrithi Srikanth, and Deepika Khanna in prominent roles along with Seema Pahwa, Neeraj Sood, Sahil Mehta, and Abhilash Thapliyal in key roles.
