Akshay Kumar's 'The Great Indian Rescue' Release Date Locked
The film is based on a mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 64 miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. It is a detailed adaptation of the incident in which Akshay Kumar plays the role of Jaswant Singh Gill while Parineeti Chopra features as the female lead.
On Wednesday (June 14), the makers confirmed the release date of "The Great Indian Rescue". Contrary to the rumors, the movie will be released in theaters on October 5, 2023. It will be Akshay's third release of the year, after "Selfiee" and the upcoming social comedy-drama "OMG 2" (Aug. 11).
"The Great Indian Rescue" is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Ajay Kapoor under the banner of Pooja Entertainment. It also stars Rajesh Sharma, Gaurav Prateek, Kumud Mishra, Virendra Saxena, and Pavan Malhotra in key roles.
