Box Office: Aavesham Becomes 5th Highest-Grossing Malayalam Movie Worldwide
Kochi, May 1 - The latest blockbuster Aavesham has become the fifth highest-grossing Malayalam film at the box office. The Fahadh Faasil-starrer has outgrossed recent mega-blockbuster Premalu to enter the top Malayalam movie globally.



The Jithu Madhavan's directorial action drama film will be crossing 133+ crores worldwide gross at the end of its 21st day (3rd Wednesday) which will take it past Premalu which minted approximately 131.50 crores at the global box office.



Aavesham is now behind only Manjummel Boys (236+ crores), 2018 (180 crores), Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life (156 crores), and Pulimurugan (139.50 crores) at number 5. In the next few days, the movie will cross Pulimurugan and is likely to top Aadujeevitham to finish as the third highest-grossing Mollywood film.



The 4 out of the 5 highest-grossers have been released in the last 12 months with Pulimurugan being the only film released before that. 2024 has particularly been an excellent year for the Malayalam film industry so far with 4 films crossing the 100 crores mark.
