Box Office: 'Animal' and 'Sam Bahadur' First Monday Early Estimates
Mumbai, December 4 - Animal has an excellent first Monday at the domestic box office after the huge first-weekend collection. The drop from the huge Sunday is remarkably under 50% which has consolidated its mega-blockbuster verdict.
According to early estimates, the Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama is heading for 39-40 crores net collection, making it the biggest non-Holiday Monday ever for an outright Bollywood film. This takes the total net to over 240 crores in all versions.
In Hindi, Animal scored an estimated 36-37 crores net on its first Monday/4th day, pushing the total net to over 212+ crores. Maharashtra remains the top contributor, followed by Delhi and Gujarat. Gujarat particularly performing brilliantly so far. The first week is heading towards finishing around 325 crores net, including Hindi around 290 crores net.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur sees a drop of over 60% from Sunday as it collected an estimated 3.50+ crores net on its first Monday/4th day. The total collection has reached around 29 crores net in 4 days which is a good collection.
Sam Bahadur, however, will need to perform consistently well on the same level to reach a respectable lifetime score. The first week is heading towards finishing around 37 crores net and then the second weekend becomes crucial for it.
