Box Office: Black Panther 2, Uunchai, And Yashoda Second Day Early Estimates
Mumbai, November 12 - Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has had a good opening day at the Indian box office, grossing approx. 15 crores (12.50 crores net) for all languages. The superhero movie witnesses a decent growth of around 10% for an estimated 16 crores gross (13.50 crores net).



The English version of "Black Panther 2" remained the top contributor with an estimated 11 crores gross. It was around 9 crores on the first day. The Hindi version is too faring well with an estimated approx. 3.50 crores gross while the rest versions are low. The opening weekend is expected to be somewhere between 47-50 crores gross.

Suraj Barjatya's adventure drama Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, among others, witnesses a huge jump on the second day. It scored approx. 2.10 crores gross (1.81 crores net) on the first day, and with nearly a 100% jump, the second-day estimate collection is around 4 crores gross (3.50 crores net).



The word of mouth for "Uunchai" is positive and it seems Barjatya's slice-of-life cinema is attracting audiences to theaters. It is worth noting that the movie has been released on limited screens and more screens are expected to be added in the coming days. The two-day total collection of "Uunchai" is around 6.10 crores gross.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu's thriller film Yashoda too witnessed good growth on the second day after scoring approx. 3.60 crores gross (3.06 crores net) on the first day. With a jump of over 25%, the film scored an estimated 4.50-4.75 crores gross on the second day/first Saturday for all languages, taking the total collection to over 8 crores gross in two days. It has received positive reviews and looks like a sure shot hit at the box office.



It will be interesting to see how the aforementioned films perform on weekdays, especially "Uunchai" and "Yashoda". It will be a much-needed respite for Bollywood and Tollywood if both films hold well after the weekend.
