Box Office: Blockbuster 'Marco' Hits 100 Crore Worldwide
Kochi, January 12 - Unni Mukundan's action thriller Marco is in the last leg of its box office run but running out of time, it has done what no other A-rated Malayalam film did in the past as it has become the first adult-rated Mollywood title to to 100 crores at the worldwide box office.



Touted as India's most violent film, Marco was released on December 20, ahead of the Christmas weekend in 2024. It opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike which led to a rampage at the box office and ended the year, what was remarkable Mollywood on the whole, on high.



On its 24th day (4th Sunday), the Haneef Adeni-directed blockbuster stormed past the 100 crores mark at the worldwide box office. In India, the film has grossed approximately 68.50 crores while the overseas collection is around 32 crores for a global total of 100.50+ crores in 24 days.



Marco is the 6th Malayalam film of 2024 and 9th of all-time to surpass the 100 crores gross mark worldwide. For Unni Mukundan and director Haneef, it is their first film to achieve this milestone. The movie is heading to finish around 105 crores gross.
