Box Office: Drishyam 2 Fourth Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, December 5 - Drishyam 2 has emerged as a blockbuster at the box office as the film continues with strong collections even on the fourth Monday of its box office run. The early estimate collections suggest around 3 crores net mark which is simply superb.

The fourth Monday collections will take the entire box office collections of Drishyam2 to just a little under the 190cr net box office mark and the film will cross the magical 200cr net box office mark by Thursday or Friday. The film will become the only third film to cross the 200cr mark after the pandemic along with The Kashmir Files and Brahmastra. Here we are talking about the Hindi film industry only.

The film will soon hit the 300cr worldwide business which is a benchmark, especially for this Kind of film which is devoid of any scale, heroism, music, or festival period releases. The film is no doubt provided a much-needed boost to the ailing film industry and the hope is that the upcoming Hindi films should continue the form. The box office does seem in a better position now compared to 6-8 months ago as even the films which are not liked by audiences are doing decent business now which is a positive sign.
