Box Office: 'Guntur Kaaram' and 'Hanuman' Opening Day Early Estimates
Hyderabad, January 12 - The biggest release of Sankranthi 2024, superstar Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram has taken a fantastic start at the box office. Directed by Trivikram, the movie was anyway going to start with a bang due to star power.



According to early estimates, Guntur Kaaram is heading for a 42+ crores net (50 crores gross) opening in India which is excellent. In AP/TG, the movie scored an estimated 44+ crores gross, which is again huge though it failed to beat Babu's last film "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" which scored 50 crores gross on opening day in AP/TG and 55+ crores all India start (as per estimates, final collection awaited).



Guntur Kaaram's final opening day gross can be headed to 50+ crores, depending on the performance on the single screens. The opening, however, is still huge and despite the mixed word of mouth, it has set the stage for a big Sanraknthi weekend.

Another Telugu release of the day, director Prashanth Varma's Hanuman is set to stun everyone in the coming days. The movie had paid previews on January 11 in which it grossed approximately 5.30 crore with around 2.70 lakh footfalls. The word of mouth after previews ensured a fantastic full opening day domestically.



According to early estimates, Hanuman scored an estimated 7.50+ crores net (9 crores gross) collection in Telugu and Hindi versions. The dubbed Hindi version alone scored around 2 crores net and it could go higher depending on the night shows.



Hanuman, with super positive word of mouth, could become a rage in the coming days not only just in Telugu but also in Hindi. The movie is sure to reap the reward during the Sankranthi festival and is heading towards a very good opening weekend at the box office.
