Box Office: Hanuman Emerges Biggest Telugu Sankranthi Grosser of All-Time
Hyderabad, February 3 - Directed Prasanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman has created a record for a Telugu title. It has become the highest-grossing Telugu movie ever to release during the Sankranthi festival weekend.



Starring Teja Sajja, Hanuman was released on January 12 and with glowing word of mouth, the film beats all other films released around it and eventually becomes the biggest Telugu grosser ever to debut during the particular festival.

Hanuman has grossed around 270 crores at the worldwide box office as I type this, and has beaten superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo which scored approximately 269 crores worldwide in 2020 to emerge the biggest Sankranthi blockbuster of all-time.



Unlike Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Hanuman was released in multiple languages and apart from Telugu, the film is getting good dividends from Hindi. The movie has so far grossed approximately 215 crores at the domestic box office, including around 55 crores gross in the dubbed Hindi version. Overseas, it has minted a huge around 55 crores.



Hanuman is still in the race to top 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office which will make it the first-ever Telugu film released in January month to achieve the milestone.
