Box Office: 'Hanuman' On Course To Emerge A Big Blockbuster Worldwide
Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, Hanuman has completed its first weekend, grossing over 72 crores at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie has minted 47+ crores gross (including 5 crores previews) while the overseas collection is approximately 25 crores.
The Hindi dubbed version of the film is a big surprise at the box office. In the first weekend, the Hindi version scored approximately 12 crores net (14+ crores gross), which is higher than the opening weekend totals of Pan Indian blockbusters like "Pushpa - The Rise" and "KGF: Chapter 1".
The first Monday collection of the film is set to be higher than the opening day, both in Hindi and Telugu. The Hindi trade is expecting Hanuman will reach 100 crore net collection and the way it is trending with the show count gradually increasing, it won't be a surprise if it manages to touch the milestone.
The movie was made on a budget of around 30 crores, a relatively low cost for a VFX-friendly film and to come up with a satisfying output with that budget is where director Prashanth Varma won the battle. The movie, however, still battling it out to get enough theatres in Telugu states where it is best performing.
