Box Office: 'Kanguva' Opening Day Early Estimates

According to the early estimates, Kanguva is headed for opening in the range of 11-13 crores gross in Tamil Nadu which is a decent start. In Telugu states, the movie has taken a good start with an estimated gross collection in the range of 5.50-6 crores.

Kerala was one of the best-performing states for Kanguva in advance sales and the film scored a very good opening of 4-4.50 crores gross there. In Karnataka, it is expected to score in the range of 2.50+ crores gross while the movie surprises in the North belt with a better-than-expected start.

As per estimates, Kanguva is expected to gross around 4 crores in the Hindi belt as all India estimates suggest 26-28 crore gross opening day (including 3D charges). While this is a good start for the movie, it somehow fell short of expectations as a whole, especially in Tamil Nadu.

As said, the opening is good but the road ahead might be a difficult one for the film. The initial word of mouth seems to be negative and the pre-sales for the weekend are poor.
