Box Office: 'Mission Raniganj' First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 9 - Akshay Kumar's biopic survival thriller, Mission Raniganj crashed on its first Monday after the low opening weekend. The movie could have a chance of some revival at the domestic box office by putting up a collection on Friday levels but that is not the case anymore.

Mission Raniganj, on its first Monday, scored an estimated 1-1.25 crores net collection, which takes the total collection to around 13.75 crores in 4 days. These collections could have been termed good for a low-budget movie but not a film featuring one of the biggest Bollywood stars.

The film was carrying a low buzz before release and the makers didn't even put effort into generating awareness among the audiences by opting no to a minimum promotion strategy. The movie is heading towards finishing under 25 crores net mark, which is a disappointing performance.

Meanwhile, adult comedy-drama, Thank You For Coming, is also heading towards a similar fate as it scored an estimated approximately 50 lakh net collection, pushing a total 4-day cume to around 5.00 crores. Overall, the movie is heading toward finishing around 10-15 crores net lifetime total.
