Box Office: 'Saiyaara' Becomes Director Mohit Suri's Biggest Opener; Beats Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor's 'Ek Villain'
The film is directed by Mohit Suri, who has helmed films which resonated with the young audience over the years, and Saiyaara is one such film. And deservingly so, it has emerged as the filmmaker's biggest opener in his 20 years of filmography.
With over 20 crores net opening, Saiyaara has beaten Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Shraddha Kapoor's Ek Villain (16.70 crores net) to become Mohit Suri's biggest opener. Before Ek Villain, Mohit Suri's biggest first-day earner was Half Girlfriend (10.30 crores net), starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
