Box Office: Sidharth Malhotra's 'Yodha' Has A Low First Week

Directed by Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, Yodha minted approximately 25 crores net in the first week, making it the first lowest opening week total for a Sidharth Malhotra-starrer as well as one of the lowest for Disha and Raashii.

The movie's opening was underwhelming and despite a decent jump over the weekend, the movie couldn't hold the ground during the weekdays. It followed an absurd promotional campaign which couldn't help it generate enough buzz, resulting in a poor show at the box office.

There is not much gas left in the film to carry and the new releases, despite not being driven by star power, will make its life further harder at the box office. There is Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan is running strongly. It took a lead over Yodha from the first day despite being in its second week and supernatural thriller is expected to follow the same this week as well.
