Box Office: The Kashmir Files Surpassed URI: The Surgical Strike

Mumbai, April 4 - Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" has slowed down at the box office but not before accomplishing its job. Based on the painful exodus of the Kashmir Pandits, has become one of the biggest box office success stories of all time in Indian cinema.





"The Kashmir Files" was released on March 11 and opened below 4 crores. It later billed upon the strong word of mouth and became unstoppable after the first day. The movie broke into the top 10 all-time biggest Hindi films by entering the 200 crores net club. It is currently the only Bollywood film to reach 200 crores net in post-pandemic time.





The Anupam Kher-fronted movie has now surpassed all-time blockbuster "URI: The Surgical Strike" to become the 13th biggest-grosser Hindi movie at the domestic box office. It netted approx. 7.30 crores in the 4th weekend which took its total net cume to 244.50 crores. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer movie had scored 244.14 crores in its lifetime run and is currently the 14th biggest Hindi movie.





Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts, Zee Studio, Vivek Agnihotri, and Pallavi Joshi, "The Kashmir Files" has also entered the top 10 movies in Delhi-Utter Pradesh. It is currently at the 8th spot in the mentioned region with 64.35 crores. Worldwide, TKF has already crossed 300 crores gross (307 cr.), which is the first since "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" in January 2020.
