Chris Hemsworth's 'Thor 5' Is Reportedly In Development
Los Angeles, June 8 - Marvel Studios' Thor is one of the most loved comic book characters among fans worldwide. Chris Hemsworth, who has been playing this character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011, has made this one of the MCU's most popular superheroes.



Thor has been a part of the MCU since its early days, alongside Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow, among others. While many characters from the original Avengers have moved on in one way or another, Thor is still there, and it seems he is gearing up for more fun in the future MCU timelines.



There have been four solo Thor movies, the highest among the other MCU characters. There have been a lot of rumours lately about the future of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and those rumours got a boost after the actor recently shared a message, thanking fans for supporting Thor over the years.

The post from Hesmworth might have made MCU fans nervous, but the latest rumours have strongly suggested that Marvel Studios is moving ahead with Thor 5. According to Scooper Daniel RPK, the 5th instalment of Thor is indeed officially in development and it will be part of the next MCU Saga, post-Avengers: Secret Wars.



Director Taika Waititi will reportedly not be returning to direct the next Thor movie, instead, the Odinson will be getting another fresh start. This is an exciting development for fans who want to see more of Thor in the MCU.



Meanwhile, Hemsworth will return as Thor in Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently in production for a December 18, 2026, release.
