Diljit Dosanjh's 'Sardaar Ji 3' To Not Release In India
Ever since the trailer of the film has been released, Sardaar Ji 3 is facing the heat as many people and film bodies objected to the casting of Hania Aamir, especially after the recent Phalagam terrorist attack in which Pakistani terrorists were involved in the killing of 26 tourists.
Many people expressed their anger after the trailer was launched and asked the government to ban the film. Understanding the seriousness of the issue, the makers of Sardaar Ji 3 released a statement, confirming that the film won't be released in India.
In the statement, the makers stated that " The film was shot well before the prevailing situation that our country is facing now, and it was never ever the case that any Pakistani artist was signed or was engaged after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam".
Diljit Dosanjh, meanwhile, has backed the decision of makers to not release the movie in India in respect to the sentiments of the people. He also said that a lot of money has been invested in the film; hence, he is with the makers in whatever decision they have made, even though they will lose money for not releasing the film in the home market.
Sardaar Ji 3 is a horror action comedy, directed by Amar Hundal and produced by Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu, and Diljit Dosanjh under White Hill Studios and Story Time Productions. It stars Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa, Gulshan Grover, Manav Vij, and Hania in key roles. The movie is slated to hit the screens on June 27, now only internationally.
