Jayeshbhai Jordaar First Review: Ranveer Singh Shines Bright In YRF's Social Drama

Mumbai, March 31 - Bollywood star Ranveer Singh will next be seen in a social drama film "Jayeshbhai Jordaar", which marks "Arjun Reddy" actress, Shalini Pandey's Bollywood debut. The YRF production is touted to be a superhero film with a strong social message. It is directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is scheduled to release on May 13 this year after getting delayed multiple times. While the general audience will have to wait for some time more to watch the movie on the big screen, Yash Raj Films had reportedly held a special screening of the film and it got anonymous thundring applause from the viewers.

Producer Maneesh Sharma shared the reaction of the audience and lauded Ranveer for his performance. "It was so gratifying to see the reaction of the audience after the screening. People came into the theatre without having any presumption of what to expect from Jayeshbhai Jordaar and their validation was simply overwhelming", he said (via peepingmoon.com).

"I think it's safe for me to say that Ranveer has delivered the performance of a lifetime. It's one for the ages. Something that will set him apart from his contemporaries because only he could have brought Jayeshbhai to life in this endearing and soulful manner", Sharma added.

The film stars Ranveer Singh as the titular Gujarati man who believes in equal rights between males and females in society. Shalini Pandey plays the female lead, with Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Deeksha Joshi in supporting roles.
