Kamal Haasan's Mega Blockbuster 'Vikram' Completes 100 Days In Theaters
Directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, Vikram has been a roaring success at the box office, at a time when most of the films are getting dismissed within a week without putting any fight. There has been a common thought among the trade and audiences that good content is the need of the hour and Vikram has topped on that front.
Touted as the second film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, Vikram was one of the most-anticipated Tamil films of the year, and after it was released in theaters on June 3rd, the audiences accepted it with both hands. As a result of the sensational response from the moviegoers, the film has grossed approx. 420 crores at the worldwide box office, becoming the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time.
The film features a solid cast that also includes Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil apart from Kamal Haasan playing the titular role. Having a supremely talented primary star cast, the movie equally got laud responses for the small cameo of Suriya as Rolex, the kingpin of the illegal drug trade.
Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, the film serves as the second installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).[12] The plot follows a black-ops squad led by Agent Vikram, in which he aims at a drug syndicate group called Vetti Vagaiyara, led by Sandhanam, who wants the missing drugs to be delivered to his cold-blooded boss Rolex.
