'Liger' Distributor Backs The Movie Despite Heavy Losses
Hyderabad, September 5 - Vijay Deverakonda's sports action drama film, Liger has tanked at the box office. This resulted in heavy losses to the distributors who bought the movie at high prices. The Puri Jagannadh-directed film was made on a big budget and was expected to do well at the box office, but that didn't happen.

"Liger" opened to disastrous reviews from critics who slammed the movie left, right, and center, as if the movie didn't deserve to exist. Because of the critics' reviews, the movie couldn't gather any momentum after the opening day and ended up with just a 20% recovery of total investment.

With such a poor response to the movie, it would be fair to assume that the distributors across languages are upset with the makers. However, this is not the case as Warangal Srinu, who bought the entire South Indian rights of "Liger", has backed the movie despite facing heavy losses.

Warangal Srinu has said that "Liger" is a good film except for the climax. A lot of portions in the movie were excellent, except for the climax of the film. He went on to say that some people spread negativity around the movie without watching it.

This might have come as a shock for the audience who also didn't like the movie much, however, the audience's word of mouth is not as bad as the critics' reviews.
