Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details

Hyderabad, August 14 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni's much-awaited sci-fi action drama film Double iSmart is finally hitting the big screen on August 15 and the movie is looking to make big at the box office during the long holiday weekend due to Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.## Directed by Puri Jagannadh and also starring Sanjay Dutt and Kavya Thapar, Double iSmart has managed to fetch record theatrical business for Ram Pothineni-starrer. According to T2BLive, the sequel's worldwide theatrical business has been valued at 48 crores and it will need to score around 80 crores gross to emerge as a box office hit.## In Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), the theatrical rights of Double iSmart have been locked at 39 crores, including 15.50 crores for the Nizam area, 6 crores for Ceeded and 17.50 crores for Andhra regions. Outside Telugu states, the film's business is 6 crore while overseas business is 3 crore. ## Double iSmart is the sequel to iSmart Shankar which was a big box office blockbuster. Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' Censor Details With Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Hyderabad, August 8 - Actor Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster movie iSmart Shankar. Ram Potheneni and Puri Jagannadh's 'Double Ismart' Worldwide Theatrical Deal Locked

Hyderabad, July 16 - Director Puri Jagannadh and actor Ram Pothineni reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster film iSmart Shankar. It is one of the biggest hits in the career of both Puri and Ram, and now, the duo is looking to repeat the magic with the sequel Double iSmart. ## The last respective films of Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni were box office failures but Double iSmart is expected to bring the duo in winning ways. There is genuine excitement for the movie among moviegoers and the makers have locked record business for the same.## According to Aakashavaani, Prime Show Entertainments, which earlier produced one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters Hanuman, has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights (excluding the Hindi version) of Double Ismart for 60 crores (6 crores recoverable and 54 non-recoverable). Hyderabad, February 16 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh reunited for the sequel to their blockbuster film iSmart Shankar (2019). Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur, Double iSmart also features Sanjay Dutt, marking his Telugu debut in a full-fledged role. ## Double iSmart is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies of the year and hence the makers are in no hurry to release it. 'Liger' Distributor Backs The Movie Despite Heavy Losses

Hyderabad, September 5 - Vijay Deverakonda's sports action drama film, Liger has tanked at the box office. This resulted in heavy losses to the distributors who bought the movie at high prices. The Puri Jagannadh-directed film was made on a big budget and was expected to do well at the box office, but that didn't happen. ## "Liger" opened to disastrous reviews from critics who slammed the movie left, right, and center, as if the movie didn't deserve to exist. Because of the critics' reviews, the movie couldn't gather any momentum after the opening day and ended up with just a 20% recovery of total investment. ## With such a poor response to the movie, it would be fair to assume that the distributors across languages are upset with the makers.
