Mahesh Babu's 'Murari' Re-Release Second Day Box Office Collection
Hyderabad, August 11 - Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's 2001 romantic drama thriller film Murari was re-released on August 9 and scored one of the biggest openings for a Telugu re-release title.



Directed by Krishna Vamsi, Murari grossed approximately 4.75 crores in India and 5.25 crores worldwide on its first day of re-release, and continuing this momentum, the movie remained rock solid on its second day as well.



On its second day (Saturday), the movie minted approximately 1.75 crores gross collection at the domestic box office. This takes the movie's total domestic collection to approximately 6.50 crores, and including 60 lakh overseas gross, the movie has scored 7.10 crores worldwide in the 2 days of its re-release.



Among the recent Telugu re-release films, Murari is already the second-biggest-grosser, as per the Telugu box office portal T2BLive. It will become the re-release grosser by topping Pawan Kalyan's Kushi which was re-released last year.



Murari features Mahesh Babu in the title role along with Sonali Bendre in her Telugu debut, Lakshmi, Sukumari, Kaikala Satyanarayana, and Gollapudi Maruthi Rao in the key roles. In the movie, a family is under a curse due to an old sin; due to which a male is bound to die every 48 years.
