The series explores power dynamics and the criminal underworld in the heartland of northern India. The theatrical adaptation, set to debut in 2026, is one of the first instances when a major streaming product is being made into a theatrical film.
The film will feature the return of the show's principal cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, and Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi. Abhishek Banerjee is also confirmed to reprise his role as the Compounder.
