PS-1 Review: Moviegoers React To Mani Ratnam's Epic Period Action Drama Film
Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, "PS-1" tells the story of the early life of Arulmozhivarman, who would become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja I (947–1014). The film stars an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala among others.
The movie has been receiving mostly positive responses from critics and the general audience. While the film is being praised for Mani Ratnam's direction and keeping the story true to the Novel along with solid performances by the primary cast and solid BGM by AR Rehman, it is getting criticism for lacking wow moments.

Performances by the lead cast is good especially Karthi and Vikram. Trisha is captivating with her screen presence. Mani Ratnam chose a story that had good potential but his narration is tedious at parts and should’ve focused more on the screenplay. VFX/Action is below par
