Prabhas' 'Salaar' Hindi OTT Platform and Release Date Revealed
Mumbai, February 9 - Pan India superstar Prabhas' action drama film Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has officially revealed its digital partner for the Hindi version. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, is already streaming on Netflix in the South Indian languages.

Since the film's Netflix release in South Indian versions, there have been enquiries about the streaming date of the Hindi version. Hombale Films, on Friday (February 9), officially revealed that Salaar Hindi will be coming on Disney Plus Hotstar on February 16.

Unlike South Indian versions, the Hindi version of Salaar will be streaming after 8 weeks of theatrical release, and this is one of the major reasons Netflix is not the OTT partner of the film for Hindi. The movie is expected to bring good viewership for Hotstar.

Netflix was hoping for a break-out success with Salaar in South Indian languages but the response so far has been underwhelming with just 3.5 million views in two weeks.

Meanwhile, Salaar: Ceasefire" grossed approximately 618 crores at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2023. In India, it scored around 488 crores gross, including approximately 183 crores in the Hindi version.

Peddi Day 12 Box Office: Set to Become 6th Fastest Telugu Film to Hit 200 Cr Telugu Net Milestone Today, Surpassing Devara

Peddi has entered its second Monday with expected stability, following a strong performance over its second weekend. The film earned a gross collection of ₹4.73 crore on Day 12, marking a 55.8% drop from the previous day's gross collection of ₹10.70 crore. This is a standard trend for big-ticket films on a second Monday after a heavy weekend run. With 4,164 shows currently running across India, the film has reached a total India gross collection of ₹260.96 crore and a net collection of ₹220.10 crore. The state-wise gross breakdown for the day shows that the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions remain the backbone of the film success, contributing ₹3.35 crore. Karnataka saw a gross of ₹0.55 crore, while Tamil Nadu brought in ₹0.10 crore. Other parts of the country, categorized as the rest of India, accounted for a gross of ₹0.73 crore. Within this segment, the Hindi version managed a net collection of just ₹0.60 crore on its 12th day. It is quite evident that the Hindi version is underperforming, and the occupancy data reflects this struggle in the northern belt. For instance, in the National Capital Region, the film saw an overall occupancy of 11.8 percent across 100 shows. Other major cities like Ahmedabad and Surat also saw low engagement, with overall occupancies of 13 percent and 6.8 percent respectively. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) On the international front, early estimates suggest that the film collected approximately ₹0.35 crore overseas on its 12th day, taking the total overseas gross to around ₹51.85 crore. When we combine the domestic and international numbers, Peddi has officially crossed the major milestone of ₹300 crore, with the early estimate for the worldwide gross total standing at ₹312.81 crore. The Telugu version of the film is performing exceptionally well and is very close to hitting the ₹200 crore net mark. As of Day 12, the Telugu net stands at ₹195.70 crore. Based on the current momentum, it is likely to cross this milestone by the end of today. If it achieves this on Day 13, it will secure a high ranking among the fastest Telugu films to reach the ₹200 crore net club. INOX followed with 1,900 tickets and a gross of ₹4.0 lakh at 3.3% occupancy, while Cinepolis contributed 700 tickets and a gross of ₹1.6 lakh at 2.4% occupancy. Regionally, the occupancy for the Telugu 2D version remains healthy in key markets. In Hyderabad, the film recorded 22.8% occupancy across 425 shows. The Vizag-Visakhapatnam region showed even stronger numbers with an average occupancy of 44.3% across 125 shows, including evening shows peaking at 58%. On BookMyShow, the film saw 51.56K tickets booked on its second Monday, bringing the total tickets sold on the platform to over 36.39 lakh. Top 5 Box Office Weekend Grossers (June 12-14): Haunted 3D and Obsession Emerge Winners As Ram Charan's Peddi Sees A Drop

Mumbai, June 15 - The Indian box office witnessed a competitive weekend from June 12 to 14, with a mix of holdover releases and new arrivals attracting audiences across the country. While Ram Charan's Peddi comfortably retained the top position, the biggest success stories of the weekend were Obsession and Haunted 3D, both of which delivered impressive numbers and continued the recent dominance of horror films at the box office. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Peddi emerged as the highest-grossing film of the weekend, collecting an estimated 26.30 crore during the three days. Although the film experienced a noticeable drop from its opening weekend, it continued to attract audiences in Telugu states and remained the top choice among moviegoers. The sports-action drama has already established itself as one of the year's biggest box office successes and is continuing its run despite growing competition. Hollywood horror thriller Obsession secured the second spot with an excellent 17.70 crore weekend. The film once again demonstrated extraordinary staying power, registering strong occupancy across major urban centres. The horror title has become one of the biggest surprise successes of the year in India and is steadily moving toward the 100 crore milestone. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Among the new releases, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past delivered the strongest performance. The horror sequel collected approximately 11 crore over its opening weekend and emerged as the best-performing newcomer. The interest in the horror genre helped the film overcome limited screen presence and establish itself as a successful theatrical release. Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur's Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai put up a decent performance in the second weekend, though the overall collection is still underwhelming. Rounding out the top five was Steven Spielberg's sci-fi Hollywood thriller Disclosure Day. The film found a niche audience in multiplexes and performed reasonably well considering the crowded marketplace. Peddi has reached a significant milestone by officially crossing the 200 crore net mark in India at the end of its eleventh day. While this looks impressive on paper, the film is currently navigating a tricky path at the box office. For a project mounted on such a massive scale, the performance is leaning toward underperforming, especially as it struggles to maintain high-level momentum outside its core territories. As of Day 11, the total India net collection stands at 216.00 crore. The films trajectory on BookMyShow offers some interesting insights into its audience engagement. Since the era of hourly trending data began on the platform, Peddi has now moved up to become the 7th best-selling Telugu movie of all time. By reaching a total of 3.59 million tickets sold over its first eleven days, it has successfully overtaken the lifetime sales of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which stood at 3.59 million. To give you a better sense of where the film stands among the biggest heavyweights at the end of their respective second weekends, here is the breakdown: (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Top 5 Telugu Movies - BMS Ticket Sales RANKMOVIE NAMETICKETS SOLD (BMS)1Pushpa 220.21 M2Kalki 2898 AD13.14 M3Salaar7.17 M4Devara4.80 M5Hanuman4.72 M6Mana ShankaraVaraPrasad Garu3.82M6Peddi3.59M Moving into the critical Monday test, the early trends on BookMyShow give us a clear look at the current momentum. Today, between 11 am and 12 pm, the film sold 3,380 tickets on the platform. If we look at the cumulative data from 8 am to noon, the total stands at 10,630 tickets. This follows a second weekend that saw a peak of 157,040 tickets on Sunday, after steady performances on Friday and Saturday. These morning numbers are a standard reflection of the weekday transition, showing a natural dip as the working week kicks off. In conclusion, Peddi has officially emerged as the number one highest-selling South Indian film of 2026. This milestone cements its position at the top of the yearly charts, reflecting its strong appeal across the regional markets. While its journey continues to be monitored through the weekdays, it currently stands as the definitive commercial leader for Tollywood this year so far.

Peddi Box Office: Ram Charan's Sports Action Drama Beats Karuppu To Become Highest-Grossing South Indian Film of 2026

Hyderabad, June 15 - Superstar Ram Charan's sports action drama Peddi continues its decent run, and in this process, it has achieved a notable milestone at the worldwide box office by overtaking Tamil blockbuster Karuppu to emerge as the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2026. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi opened to strong numbers in the Telugu states and delivered a solid first weekend. However, the film has experienced a noticeable slowdown on weekdays, especially outside Telugu states, resulting in a decent rather than blockbuster theatrical run so far. In 11 days so far, Peddi has grossed 308 crores worldwide, and by the time of penning this piece, it has outgrossed Karuppu (308+ crore) to become the biggest South Indian grosser of the year. While the collections have remained steady enough to cross the 300 crore mark and Karuppu's running total, the film is still some distance away from achieving the larger milestones that many had initially projected. Despite the moderate trend after the opening weekend, Peddi deserves credit for becoming the year's top-grossing South Indian release and delivering much better numbers than Ram Charan's disastrous Game Changer. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Peddi benefited from Ram Charan's star power, positive audience reception in its core markets, and the lack of major competition during its first week. These factors helped it edge past Karuppu and claim the top spot among South Indian films released in 2026 (so far). The achievement is significant for Ram Charan, who adds a decent performer to his filmography after back-to-back box office duds, in the form of Game Changer and Acharya (extended role). However, Peddi's journey is far from over. With a reported break-even target considerably higher than its current worldwide total, the film will need to maintain a respectable hold in the coming days to improve its theatrical outcome. For now, Peddi can celebrate an important record. By crossing the 308 crore worldwide mark and overtaking Karuppu, the sports action entertainer has officially become the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2026, even if its overall box-office trajectory has been steadier than spectacular. Peddi 2nd Weekend Gross Rs. 26.28 Cr; Needs Over 43 Crore To Enter Top 10 Highest Grossing Telugu Films Of All Time

Peddi has completed its second weekend at the box office, and the numbers bring a mix of milestones and reality checks. While the film has officially crossed the 200 crore net mark in India, the overall trajectory suggests it is underperforming relative to its massive scale and high expectations. As of the end of Day 11, the film stands at a total India net collection of 216.00 crore. Peddi wrapped up its second weekend by bringing in a gross of 10.70 crore on Day 11. This marks a 12 percent increase over Saturday gross of 9.55 crore, confirming a steady interest from the weekend crowds. When looking at the net figures, the movie earned 9.20 crore across 4,133 shows. Occupancy also saw a visible bump, rising to 35.5 percent from Saturday 28.8 percent. While these are decent gains, for a project of this scale, the performance feels like a gradual grind rather than the explosive surge many expected. Here is the state-wise gross breakdown for the 2nd Weekend APTG: ₹19.50 Cr (Fri: ₹4.75 Cr | Sat: ₹7.00 Cr | Sun: ₹7.75 Cr) Rest of India: ₹3.13 Cr (Fri: ₹0.58 Cr | Sat: ₹1.10 Cr | Sun: ₹1.45 Cr) Karnataka: ₹3.20 Cr (Fri: ₹0.60 Cr | Sat: ₹1.30 Cr | Sun: ₹1.30 Cr) Tamil Nadu: ₹0.45 Cr (Fri: ₹0.10 Cr | Sat: ₹0.15 Cr | Sun: ₹0.20 Cr) 2nd Weekend Total Gross: ₹26.28 Cr (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The national chains, including PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, contributed a total gross of 0.59 crore on Sunday from approximately 22,200 tickets sold. Specifically, PVR and INOX saw the highest activity with occupancy rates of 13.3 percent and 15.0 percent respectively, while Cinepolis stayed lower at 8.8 percent. Across the entire second weekend, over 42,300 tickets were sold through these major national chains. This cumulative effort across 800+ shows on Sunday shows that while there is an audience in the metros, the film is not quite hitting the peak numbers expected of a top-tier release. Language-wise, the Telugu version remains the primary driver, accounting for 7.80 crore of the Day 11 net total. The occupancy in the Telugu market was quite healthy at 44 percent. In contrast, the Hindi version contributed 1.20 crore with 23 percent occupancy, followed by smaller contributions from the Kannada and Tamil versions. This highlights the film's heavy reliance on its home territory for survival. In terms of regional occupancy for the Telugu version, Vizag was the standout performer on Sunday with a massive 74.3 percent occupancy across 132 shows. Vijayawada followed with 57.0 percent, while the capital city Hyderabad maintained a solid 48.5 percent. However, the performance in Bengaluru was notably lower at 24.0 percent, suggesting that the film's appeal is currently concentrated in specific pockets rather than being a pan-South success. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Earlier in the weekend, Day 10 had shown a strong recovery with a 57.3 percent growth over Friday's dip. Friday, Day 9, had seen a net collection of 5.15 crore, which was an 18.3 percent drop from the previous day. While the weekend recovery was necessary, the lack of a massive breakout on Sunday indicates that the film is settling into a steady but not record-breaking pace. Peddi has reached a total India gross of 256.23 crore. On the international front, the film added 0.75 crore on Day 11, bringing its total overseas gross to 51.75 crore. When we combine these figures, the worldwide gross collection now stands at 307.98 crore. It achieved this by surpassing the previous record held by the Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu film, which had earned 301.49 crore globally and 218.47 crore net in India. While this is a significant achievement for the year, the film still has a long road ahead to climb the all-time charts. Currently, Peddi is the 11th highest-grossing Telugu film of all time on a global scale. To break into the top 10, it needs to overtake the records set by Pushpa: The Rise, which finished its run with a worldwide gross of 350.10 crore. This means Peddi requires approximately 43 crore more in gross collections to secure that 10th spot. Given the current daily trends, reaching this milestone will depend heavily on its performance during the upcoming weekdays. On the ticketing front, BookMyShow data shows that 157,040 tickets were booked on Sunday, which was a slight increase from Saturday's 155,600 and a significant jump from Friday's 92,090. The total tickets sold on the platform for the entire run now stand at 3.59 million. This places Peddi at the 5th spot for ticket sales at the end of the second weekend among recent blockbusters, trailing behind films like Devara, which had 4.14 million, and Salaar with 6.32 million. With a total of 83,776 shows played so far, the film's journey into the third week will be the ultimate test of its legs at the box office.

Peddi Box Office: Ram Charan Starrer Beats Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu To Become Highest-Grossing Telugu Movie of 2026

BY SACNILK

Hyderabad, June 14 - Superstar Ram Charan's Peddi has scripted a major milestone at the box office by overtaking Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu to become the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026 worldwide. The sports action drama has enjoyed a good theatrical run since its release and has now surpassed the lifetime worldwide gross of Chiranjeevi's blockbuster entertainer, taking the top spot among Telugu releases this year. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Buchi Babu Sana's directorial crossed the crucial milestone after moving past the 301.50 crore worldwide gross collected by Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu during its theatrical run on its 11th day, at the time of writing this piece. With strong collections from the Telugu states and decent performance in the rest of the markets, Peddi has managed to edge ahead to become the biggest Telugu grosser of the year. The film took an excellent opening at the worldwide box office and followed it up with a good opening weekend. Driven by massive anticipation and solid audience interest in the Telugu states, Peddi quickly emerged as one of the biggest openers of the year. Its impressive start laid the foundation for a successful theatrical run and helped it race past several major milestones within its first two weeks. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) However, the film's trajectory has not been uniform across all markets. While Peddi has continued to collect decent numbers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during the weekdays, its performance in the rest of India and overseas territories has been comparatively underwhelming. The Telugu version remains the primary driver of the film's business, with other language markets contributing only modestly to the overall total. Despite crossing 300 crore worldwide and emerging as the year's biggest Telugu grosser, the film is still some distance away from achieving full commercial success. According to trade estimates, Peddi carries a break-even target of nearly 500 crore worldwide, meaning the film remains well short of the mark required to recover its overall costs through theatrical revenues alone. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Nevertheless, becoming the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026 is a major achievement for Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana. The film has managed to set a new benchmark for Telugu cinema this year, even as it continues its box office journey with the aim of reducing the gap towards its ambitious break-even target.
