Rajinikanth, Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Coolie' India Advance Booking Update

As the movie is only 11 days away from hitting the big screen, everyone wants to know when the advance booking will open in India. According to the latest update, the film's pre-sales will open on August 8 in Kerala state, as confirmed by regional distributor HM Associates. Given Rajinikanth’s massive fanbase in the state, exhibitors are preparing for packed shows and potential early sellouts. The rest of India pre-sales are also expected to open around this date.

Meanwhile, the overseas bookings of Coolie are on a rampage mode, particularly in North America, where it has already crossed the impressive $1 million milestone for the premiere shows with 12 days still left. This indicates the film's box office potential in the international markets, due to the powerful collaborations.

With Coolie set for a multilingual release, expectations are sky-high for it to dominate the Independence Day weekend box office in India. Early tracking shows that Coolie will easily take 100+ crores opening, but can it go further and score the biggest start for Tamil cinema, is the question to be answered.
