Ram Pothineni's 'Skanda' Worldwide Theatrical Business Details Locked
Hyderabad, September 27 - Telugu star Ram Pothineni's maiden pan India film Skanda with mass director Boyapati Sreenu is getting ready to release this Thursday, September 28. The actor-director duo is collaborating for the first time and this mass combo is generating a very good buzz among the audiences.



The worldwide pre-release theatrical business of "Skanda" has been locked at approximately 46 crores which is all-time record for Ram Pothineni, according to T2BLive. The previous biggest theatrical business for the actor was 38 crores for "The Warrior", though it failed to emerge as a box office hit.



The Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) theatrical business "Skanda" has been locked at approximately 41 crores, including 13 crores for the Nizam area, 8.50 crores for the Ceeded area and approximately 19.50 crores for the Andhra region. The rest of India business is locked at 3 crores while overseas rights get sold for approximately 2.20 crores.



"Skanda" will need to score 47 crore share collection worldwide to break even, which means the movie will need to earn 75+ crores gross collection to emerge as a clean box office hit. Given the positive word-of-mouth, this shouldn't be a tough ask for the movie to emerge as a hit as both Boyapati Sreenu and Ram Pothineni hold command over the masses.



The film is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen in collaboration with Zee Studios. It features Ram Pothineni alongside Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar and Prince Cecil, among others in key roles.
