Rishab Shetty To Headline 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj'; Release Date Locked
Mumbai, December 3 - Kannada star Rishab Shetty is on a roll with the back-to-back mega-budgeted Pan India films. After the huge success of Kantara, the actor started working on its prequel, Kantara: Chapter 1 and recently was confirmed to headline director Prasanth Varma's highly-awaited Jai Hanuman.
The film was announced on Tuesday, December 3 with the first look poster featuring Shetty as the Maratha King. The makers have also locked the worldwide release date as 21 January 2027 in multiple languages. Top technicians are expected to come on board this mega-movie that will start production by the end of next year or early 2026.
"This isn't just a film – it's a battle cry to honour a warrior who fought against all odds, challenged the might of the Mighty Mughal empire, and forged a legacy that can never be forgotten", Rishab said on X.
