Fauji 2: New Version of Shah Rukh Khan's Iconic TV Show Announced

New Delhi, October 15 - Filmmaker Sandeep Singh has collaborated with the national broadcaster Doordarshan to announce Fauji 2, the new version of Shah Rukh Khan-led iconic television series.## Directed by Abhinav Pareek, Fauji 2 will star Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan in the leading roles and will introduce twelve new actors - Aashish Bhardwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, Amardeep Phogat, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Aman Singh Deep, Udit Kapur, Maansi and Sushmita Bhandari.## The show will feature 11 songs with music composed by music director Shreyas Puranik. Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to the title track of Fauji 2, produced by Sandeep Singh and co-produced by Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi with Sameer Hallim as the Creative Head. ## The original show, Fauji was first aired in 1989 and was created by the legendary writer and producer, Lt. 'The Kerala Story' Director Sudipto Sen Roped In To Direct Subrata Roy's Biopic 'Saharasri'

A Film on Former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee Announced

Mumbai, June 28 - The biopic of former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee is in development. Producer Vinod Bhanushali and Sandeep Singh have joined hands to bring the epic life story of the late PM of India to the big screen.## The movie, titled "Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon Yeh Desh Rehna Chahiye - Atal", will be an adaptation of Penguin Random House India's book The Untold Vajpayee: Politician And Paradox by author Ullekh NP. Randeep Hooda Cast To Play Title Role In Mahesh Manjrekar's 'Swatantra Veer Savarkar'

Mumbai, March 23 - Yet another challenging role awaits for the talented actor, Randeep Hooda, who has been cast to play the title role in filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar's "Swatantra Veer Savarkar". ## The 45-year old actor, who impressed one and all in the 2016's biographical drama film "Sarbjit", will now portray the freedom fighter V.D. Savarkar in the upcoming biopic, which was announced last year in May. The film will highlight India's freedom movement from a different spectrum and will be shot across various locations in London, Maharashtra, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands from June this year. ## "There are many heroes that have played their part in getting us our Independence. However, not everyone has got their due. Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is the most misunderstood, debated, and influential of these unsung heroes and his story must be told", Hooda said in a statement. ## The "Highway" actor will be reuniting with producer Sandip Ssingh for this film after their first collaboration on "Sarbjit". "I am delighted to collaborate with Sandeep after 'Sarabjit', for 'Swatantra Veer Savarkar'. It will be yet another challenging role to portray", the actor added. ## Written by Mahesh Manjrekar along with Rishi Virmani, "Swatantra Veer Savarkar" has been in post-production for the last few months. The movie, titled "Godse" was announced on Mahatma Gandhi's 152nd birth anniversary on October 2. Mumbai, May 28, 2021: On the 138th birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, commonly known as Swatantryaveer Savarkar, producer Sandeep Singh in association with Amit B Wadhwani has announced a biopic. Sandeep Singh has acquired the movie rights to make a biopic on the controversial freedom fighter. ## The movie titled, "Swatantra Veer Savarkar", will be helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar, who has also written the script along with Rishi Virmani. Interestingly, Sandeep Ssingh had earlier produced Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic with Vivek Oberoi playing Modi. PM Modi has huge admiration for Savarkar. ## The director Mahesh Manjrekar said in a statement, "I have always been fascinated by the life and times of Veer Savarkar.
