Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara: Chapter 1' Release Date Locked
Directed and headlined by Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 will be hitting worldwide theatres on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra on October 2, 2025. It will have a Thursday release, with a clear advantage over the 4-day opening weekend. Diwali falls on October 20 so that will also be an advantage for the movie if received well.
The movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films and also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar, and Kishore Kumar G. in prominent roles. The film will be released in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, English, and Tamil languages.
The expectations from the upcoming movie are high as the original Kantara was a massive box-office success with over 400 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. It is the second highest-grossing direct Kannada movie of all time, behind KGF: Chapter 2.
