Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' To Be Screened At World's Largest IMAX Screen
Jawan will be released in the regular 2D format along with a premium IMAX version. Now, it has been revealed that it will be screened on the world's largest IMAX screen in Germany. The screen, which stands in Leonberg near Stuttgart in Germany, measures 38 by 22 m (125 by 72 ft). Jawan is said to be the first Indian film that is set to release on such a grand scale.
IMAX is a fast-growing big-screen cinema format as audiences are visiting IMAX theaters more than before. Pathaan was also released in this premium format and delivered the biggest global opening ever for an Indian movie. Recently, it was announced to release in Japan and it will be the widest Indian release in IMAX in the country.
Jawan is one of the most-anticipated Pan India titles which is carrying massive buzz among the moviegoers and is sure to strike gold for IMAX. The fans are gearing up for mega celebrations and waiting for the pre-bookings to open soon. INOX has already opened advance booking at a few properties but the full-fledged advances will commence in the next couple of days. Overseas, it has already opened and is going strong with its pre-sales numbers.
The film tells the story of a person who sets out to rectify the wrongs in society with help from a group of women. It stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra while Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt play special appearances.
