'Squid Game' Season 2 Records Biggest Streaming Debut For Netflix With 68 Million Views
Mumbai, January 1 - The second season of smash hit Korean series, Squid Game is off to a record-breaking start as expected. The survival thriller's second instalment debuted with a massive 68 million views in the first 4 days globally. ## This is the biggest debut for any Netflix series in its premiere week, beating a record that Wednesday set with 50.10 million views in 2022. The show from creator/director Hwang Dong-hyuk and starring Lee Jung-jae ranked number 1 in 92 countries.## Since its release on December 26, 2024, Squid Game 2 has become Netflix's seventh most popular/viewed non-English TV show in record time. Squid Game Season 1 is currently at the top with 265.2 million views.
