The Title of Marvel Studios' 'Fantastic Four' Revealed At Comic-Con
California, July 28 - Amid the shocking announcement of Robert Downey Jr.'s Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) coming back in a different avatar, Marvel Studios has revealed the title of Fantastic Four which will be the 37th movie in the MCU.
WandaVision director, Matt Shakman has been tasked to direct the latest take on the classic Marvel team that originated in the comics in 1961. Oscar winner Michael Giacchino was confirmed as the composer of the film that is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025, as the first movie in the MCU's Phase 6.
The original Fantastic Four movie, starring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis, was released in 2005, followed by its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007 with the same cast. The last and third film in the franchise, adapted from the ultimate universe version of the team, was released in 2015, starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell.
