A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout for the vacant title between former champion Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill is set to headline the main event of UFC 283 on January 21, 2023, at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Main Card will air exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S. at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.
UFC 283: Glover Teixeira Vs. Jamahal Hill Full Fight
FIRST ROUND: The first round of the main event is underway. The Fight kicks off with Hill trying some left and right-hand combinations. Hill goes upstairs with the heel. There is a lame takedown attempt from Teixeira. Teixeira shoots a Takedown, but Hill stays on his feet. Hill with some right hands there. Hill is looking for a Jab, but eats a right hands from Teixeira.
Hill swings some offensive right hands, Hill is come off with some nice uppercuts. There is an accidental eye-poke. We are back underway, Teixeira once again goes for a Takedown, but it's little further a long, Hill stays back on his feet. Hill is fueled-up. Some left hands from Hill get through Teixeira and the round ends here.
SECOND ROUND: The second round is underway, Hill starts off the second round by chopping some nice Low leg kick. For the second time, Teixeira gets eye-poked when Hill tried a body shot. We are back underway. Hill shoots some huge body shots and lands a big kick to the head, apprently taking Teixeira back up.Hill lands a big uppercut against the fence, Teixeira still moving though. Big right from Teixeira opens up a cut on Hill, Hill is on tired legs but he's firing nasty kicks. Again a big right hand! But this is how Teixeira makes his money and a takedown lands for Teixeira.
Teixeira smothers him and attacks on the ground. Hill is able to slip up and out, and Hill gets to land a big right hand, Hill swings wildly, but Teixeira ducks to save it. Teixeira eats a big right that opens him up. This was hell of a round.
THIRD ROUND:
FOURTH ROUND: The Fourth round is underway, and both men are exchanging punches. Hill with a massive Headkick that shocks Teixeira. Hill drills a kick into the ribs. He's got Teixeira busted up and against the fence and he's firing shots in! Teixeira holding on for dear life. He's still in this but Hill standing over him trying to find the big shot.
Hill looks very good. He may be tiring though and Teixeira keeps coming forward. Hill goes high again, and Teixeira is completely busted open, but still keeping up the good job. There is a body shot from Teixeira. Hill once again hurts him badly with a big right hand. Teixeira is being pummeled against the fence. WHAT A Fight this is, Teixeira is showing a lot of stability even after eating those massive right hands followed by Uppercuts from Hill.
Hill pouring it on now though, with knees in the clinch and uppercuts! Goddard taking a close look! Teixeira doing just enough to stay in it but barely. Hill charges at him and unloads before the final bell.
FIFT ROUND: Fifth and final round is here, Hill swings one hard on the head. Teixeira locks in and goes for a Takedown against the fence. Hill Holds on for the time being, but Teixeira shoots another Takedown into the middle of the Octagon. Teixeira is trying to stay mount-on, Teixeira has done a great job with this Takedown. Teixeira is keeping the position, there is a scramble and things get switched. Now Hill mounts up.
Teixeira is still active but looks no way out. Finally, Hill decides to get out of the Takedown and they are in the middle now. Hill is saving himself, he is not taking any risk by going deep. Teixeira is trying to shoot him down, but there is no touch from Teixeira and the round ends here.
