Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Censor Certificate And Official Theatrical Runtime Revealed
Meanwhile, ahead of the film's release, the makers have completed censorship formatlies. It is learned that Baby John has been certified with 'U/A' for 16+ by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 44 minutes (164 minutes).
The movie is certified for people above 16 years of age due to some violent scenes. It is the second age-restricted movie of Varun Dhawan after Badlapur which was rated A by CBFC. In terms of runtime, Baby John is the second longest film of the actor after Kalank which was 165 minutes long.
The official plot summary of the film tells, "Satya, a former police officer living a peaceful life with his daughter Khushi, is forced to confront his past when they stumble upon a dangerous sex- trafficking gang led by the ruthless Nanaji. Driven by vengeance for the loss of his family six years ago, Satya reverts to his old ways, determined to dismantle Nanaji's criminal empire".
Baby John is produced by Atlee under the banner of A for Apple Productions in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios. It also stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as the female leads alongside Jackie Shroff as the antagonist and superstar Salman Khan in a cameo role.
